*4 Hormones* which determine a *human's happiness.* Worth reading

    *Dear friends ...*
As I sat in the park *after* my *morning walk,*
My wife came and slumped next to me.
*She had completed* her 30-minute jog. *We chatted* for a while. She said *she is not happy* in life. I looked up at her sheer disbelief since she seemed to have the best of everything in life.
    *"Why do you think so?"*
"I don't know. Everyone tells I have everything needed, *but I am not happy.*
"Then I questioned myself, *am I happy? "No,"* was my inner voice reply.
Now, that was an *eye-opener for me.*
I began my quest to *understand the real cause* of my *unhappiness,*
    I couldn't find one.

I dug deeper, *read articles,* spoke to life coaches but nothing made sense.
*At last my doctor* friend gave me the answer which put all my questions and doubts to rest.
*I implemented* those and will say I am *a lot happier person.*

She said, *there are four hormones* which determine a *human's happiness -*
    1. *Endorphins,*
    2. *Dopamine,*
    3. *Serotonin,*
    and
    4. *Oxytocin.*

It is important we *understand these hormones,*
as we *need all four* of them *to stay happy.*

Let's look at the *first hormone* the *Endorphins.*
*When we exercise, the body releases Endorphins.*
This hormone helps the body cope with the pain of exercising. We then *enjoy exercising* because these Endorphins will make us happy.
*Laughter is* another good way of *generating Endorphins.*
We need to spend *30 minutes exercising* every day, read or *watch funny stuff* to get our day's dose of Endorphins.

    *The second hormone is Dopamine.*
In our journey of life, we accomplish many *little and big tasks, it releases* various levels of *Dopamine.*
*When we get appreciated for our work at the office or at home,* we feel accomplished and good, that is *because it releases Dopamine.*
This also explains *why* most *housewives* are *unhappy* since they *rarely* get *acknowledged* or appreciated *for their work.* Once, we join work, we *buy* a car, a house, the latest gadgets, a *new house* so forth. In each instance, it *releases Dopamine* and we become happy.
Now, do we realize why we become happy when we shop?

*The third hormone Serotonin* is released when we *act in a way that benefits others.*
When we transcend ourselves and give back to others or *to nature or to the society, it releases Serotonin.* Even,
providing useful information on the internet like *writing information* blogs, answering peoples questions on Quora or *Facebook groups will generate Serotonin.*
That is *because* we will use our *precious time to help other* people via our answers or articles.

    *The final hormone is Oxytocin,*
is released *when* we become *close to other human* beings.
When we *hug our friends* or family *Oxytocin is released.*
The *"Jadoo Ki Jhappi"* from Munnabhai *does really work.*
Similarly, when we *shake hands* or put our *arms around* someone's shoulders, various amounts of *Oxytocin is released.*

    So, it is simple,
    1. we have to *exercise every day* to get *Endorphins,*
    2. we have to *accomplish* little *goals* and get *Dopamine,*
    3. we *need to* be *nice* to others to *get Serotonin*
    4. *hug our kids,* friends, and families to *get Oxytocin* and we will *be happy.*

*When we are happy, we can deal* with our challenges and *problems better.*

Now, we can understand *why we need to hug a child who has a bad mood.*

    So to.
*make your child* more and more *happy* day by day ...

1.*Motivate him to play* on the ground
    *-Endorphins*

    2. *Appreciate your child* for his small big achievements
    *-Dopamine*

    3. *inculcate sharing* habit through you to your child
    *-Serotonin*

    4. *Hug* your child
    *-Oxytocin*

*Have a Happy and healthy Life*.

It is a forward message I got but I found it helpful so shared it. Now we know small tricks to be happy.

    Good one. :clap2::clap2:

But should the title read reason for happiness instead of unhappiness.

Because all these hormones are responsible for being happy. :)

    @salad
Thanks for this wonderful share. A must for all including young couple with kids and those on way to produce kids.
Without knowing the science, mankind has been engaged in activities that has been instrumental in production or happiness hormones.
    Regards.
    God bless.

:hello:Curiosity can be kindled withe opposites.
Reason for happiness and reason for unhappiness are they reciprocal to each other?
    I think not.
    2. Factors that contribute to unhappiness would far out number than that of happiness I suppose.
    3. Whatever gives happiness need not be durable and sometime later the same happiness becomes instrumental in causing unhappiness. If a person is happy results in getting sound sleep which in turn it is believed to produces adequate serotonin and the person active happily during day helps produce hormone that is responsible to cause or induce good quality sleep in right time.
    4. Cows and buffalo are being administered oxytocin to yield larger quantity of milk as oxytocin keeps them Happy. But now science says those cows and buffalo cycle of giving milk is shortened .
    Thanks and Regards.
    God bless.

That is Dopamine. Dopamine in the brain is an important neurotransmitter that is often attributed to pleasure chemical. But that’s not all it does; Research has identified the role of dopamine in fear, emotion and risk perception also. Just like it can motivate you to do more, it can also make you do less.

Too much of good is also dangerous, and one primary example is an addiction. Feeling of being high is due to the dopamine release during the rewarding experiences.

Low levels of dopamine lead to an inability to feel pleasure, like in depression. Other problems associated with dopamine deficiency are fatigue, forgetfulness, obesity, trouble concentrating and difficulty in completing tasks. On the other side, excess dopamine is also bad as too much is associated with schizophrenia and psychosis.

The neurons in the brain that release dopamine in response to rewards is embedded in a different subcircuit than the neurons that release dopamine in response to aversive stimuli.Having separate neuronal correlates for appetitive and aversive behavior in our brain may explain why we are striving for ever-greater rewards while simultaneously minimizing threats and dangers. Such balanced behavior of approach-and-avoidance learning is surely helpful for surviving competition in a constantly changing environment. Thanks to Dopamine!

.In musicology much is talked about Dopamine.

When we listen to good music, we say that we are being taken altogether to a new world.Yes, it is true.
Why is it so?What is the reason for that excessive enjoyment? Thanks to a chemical, Dopamine, released by the brain when we perform or listen to music.

We hear that some people feel chills from particular songs by some particular persons.

How the brain handles both anticipation and arrival of a musical rush-This is experienced while listening to alapanas and kalpana swaras..
PET scans of the brain taken at the time of listening to concerts showed that the listeners' brains pumped out more dopamine in a region called the striatum when listening to favourite pieces of music than when hearing other pieces.

Dopamine surged in one part of the striatum during the 15 seconds leading up to a thrilling moments in that part of the brain connected with predictions, and a different part of the brain dealing with emotions when we are fully satisfied with the performer.

When we go to a performance ,we never even think about all these things.Research field is entirely different. It analyses deep into the scientific part of the art and the psychological and neurological impact on the performer/ listener.

This will be of great significance for those who are obsessed with
any art(which they say that they have a passion).People who deal with music as a therapy have to be very careful in not loading the patient with too much music resulting in excessive dopamine.

Fortunately many of us just listen and forget. Is it good in a way?
    Ignorance is bliss.

Wherever there are expectations, this friend Dopamine lends its hand-for the good and evil. One such situation when Dopamine surge is max is the marriable age. After having a good education and decent job, one is ready to get into wedlock. The matrimonial websites have thousands of choices to offer. Our friend Dopamine lends its helping hand kindling the imagination to the maximum extent.

A boy student from a French university was asked to describe the girl he would like to have as his life partner. His answer was:

"The girl should have British complexion, Irish smile, French curves, Spanish walk, Italian hair, Egyptian eyes, Greek nose, American teeth, Vienna voice, Japanese laughter, Swiss hands, Scandinavian legs, Chinese foot, and Australian breast and the Jewish brain"

She should know to cook like a French ,maintain the house like a German, dress like an American and BE OBEDIENT LIKE AN INDIAN."

(What an impression about Indian girls! )
Girls are equally far more competent to put up their demands. Thanks to surge in Dopamine!
I remember to have read many write ups on what Indian girls demand .
In those days elders talked not about Dopamine but 'paruvak kolaaru( age related maladies)
I hope the pursuit will be never ending until and unless a special Brahma offers to complete the WONDER PROJECT.( I am reminded that Kalidasa while describing Parvathi's beauty said just three words( ekastha saundarya Samuchchayeva)-all the beauty in the world clustered in a single woman)
The response started with an enzyme, enthusiastically ended in a Goddess
