    Dear Maya
    Yes, not everyone is bad.
    Amazing experience! The way you described is even more amazing! Reminds me of our area in Hyderabad.

    @maya84,

    Wonderful narration of your experience of shopping and return home while raining. You have articulated wonderfully well how a woman need to think differently when compared to a man in the same situation. You are thinking of your attire, not wanting to get wet, walking through puddle of water carefully after removing the shoes, thinking carefully about riding an auto alone, thinking why the auto driver is asking you to move inside the auto, etc. The magic word appears to be "Bhayya" for him to conduct himself in best of his behavior. It was nice on the part of the Taylor to provide a seat, extra plastic covers for the stitched dress you collected and a cover for your head.

    A complete script for a movie. A tailoring shop, a generous tailor, amiable auto driver, trustful earing shop, law abiding gate keeper and on top of it unstoppable rains and knee deep waters. The director would add the need to collect the dress by suggesting a wedding party same evening, add a few dances and songs like singing in the rain and thus a complete block buster is ready.
    My compliments.

    I am so happy that there are no villains in this set up. Life is beautiful indeed.

    Hi Maya,

    Enjoyed reading every bit of the write up. Could imagine the scene only too well, especially since I am familiar with all the areas you mentioned. Nothing like meeting a good person to restore one's faith in humanity.

    I just loved your write up!!
    Let me confess I love to read up these mundane happy fairytales in life :)
    A positive write up like this invokes warm peaceful feelings and so I feel , if more and more people record these positives, it will definitely have an impact on the overall well being of the society as more and more would gravitate towards the idea of a good society and identify with it!!
    ....ultimately tricking down to all its citizens!
    Sorry for the digress!! But its a superb account of a regular day with inclement weather and regular good people you / we encounter!!

    You hsv told the very essence of the narration and ability of OP s forethought and brooding in each situation.
    I too enjoyed the narration and choice of simple words to convey the story that will be easily come infront of vision of lay reader even.
    I second the nomination by @iyerviji of this post for current month.
    Thanks and regards.
