The last weekend was emotionally heavy. The rough wave was moving on while I was trying to get along with daily chores. I stepped out from my office to take a small walk along the park. Flowers were blooming, I looked up the sky and I can see emeralds were splashing everywhere. Tree leaves were at their optimum health, air was fresh, clear blue sky with patched of ever moving clouds, and seagulls were wandering if they can find food? (In Aberdeen, Seagulls are famous for attacking people if they have food in their hand). I gave in myself to the nature and sat on the bench all by myself to take this joy in.

My thoughts started to wander around. I could feel I was getting anxious but realised the need to get deep into my thoughts and clear some of it. It struck a chord when I realised that people can provoke you with an intention or without an intention, all of us need an acknowledgement and an acceptance and suffering is part of the life and you will feel better when you accept it. Tears rolled down and the rain has started to drizzle. I was lounging to see something in the sky but no luck. Again, it was an evidence of me yearning for a sign as an acknowledgement.

Days passed and there were sunny days, rainy days and days with all seasons in one day. On Friday, at around 8PM after completing the lalithasahasranamam pooja with my friend, I peeked through the window, there it was, perfectly arched, gorgeous double rainbow. I literally screamed out with the joy and boys came downstairs to join in my joy. I watched the beauty of the nature while getting drenched. If the angles at which the light enters the water droplet are correct, ideally at an angle of 42 degrees and then if it goes through a refraction and reflection then this gorgeous phenomenon can be produced. An observer also must be at a perfect position to observe this beauty. Isn’t the life same? Some people may be at the right place at a right time and life clicks for them. For some, even though conditions are optimum they fail to hit the note. Nevertheless, the life situations are always going to be there, but it is in our control to some extend to pave our path with our own will. Rainbows represent a peace accord and I made a peace with my self and then extended to one and all.

    @girvani
    Dear Girvani
Truly so. When God decided to destroy this evil world, he caused a huge deluge to destroy the world but not before allowing Noah to build an Ark to enable him to save himself and his family as well as a pair of all living creatures to populate the earth flushed of all the evil. After Noah completed building of his Ark, it started raining nonstop for forty days and nights. When the rain stopped and the water level subsided, a new beginning was made by god for Noah. To signify that, god fixed a rainbow in the sky indicating his promise that water would never cause a similar destructive deluge ever again.
You are right! Rainbows do represent peace accord.

:hello:Last week @Srama walked her followers through the elements of earth, rain, and over thick foliage with chirping nature and her Toby.
    2. This week you are treating us with beautiful statements of rain scenes & suspended moisture droplets in sky with anticipation of a DOUBLE RAINBOW through your Window. IT IS A MIGHTY RAPTUROUS moment, sometimes stays only for a moment but God bestowed you with Right opportunity for a good solid glimpse of it for considerable period.
    3. This had prompted you to write your 19th Thread in IL since Feb 7, 2012 and post while Harry and the other played by your side.
    4. You blended the wonder of Nature in all its hues with humanities in giving the reader a delectable slice of the life science.
    5. Life is full of primary and secondary rainbows and as in every double rainbow, colours order reversed and blurred and hazy. But one must dertermine to face and enjoy or encounter & evolve. you had succinctly put that rainbow is refraction 42 degrees while life is replete with reflections.
    6. I enjoyed the write up and more so it’s conclusions which are deemed sovereign gold.
    Thanks and Regards.
God provide Soundarya Lahiri at the end of every rainbow which is a jackpot.

I enjoyed reading your FB. Your connecting the message of the post to The Bible is awesome.
In Chennai all looking up for rains, but it is always drought or deluge either of them is a nightmare. Man has to have a truce with Nature to avoid Her wrath in the form of storm, deluge or drought.
Continuous playing or singing of Amrithvarshini at temples would give us rain not in Spain but here in Chennai that stays in plains ......
    Thanks and Regards.
    God bless.

    Dear Vani,

So nice to read you! There must have been something in the air, last week I mean! I am glad you are felling better and you have found your pot of gold for this instance with this rainbow. Spring is such a magical time and I am glad you are enjoying it.
I think we go through these phases constantly for different situations in life whether we realize or not.

Talking of seagulls, my heart always lifts with joy anytime I see them, even if they snatch food :) Geese in our area are like that - we are wary of them and need to protect ourselves.

    Please, keep writing Vani!

    My Dearest Vani,

A wonderfully written snippet. You did the right thing by walking out and enjoy the nature. There are perfect example for what we go through everyday. Rain or shine, the plants accept them gracefully. The flowers yet to bloom wait for their chance, the flowers of today happily bloom knowing their opportunity is today and the flowers of yesterday bend down their face with humility for the opporrunity. The lush green lawn let the cows and goats to graze to satiate their appetite. The plants let the birds to build their nests and let them lead a peaceful life. They also feed them with fruits.

The whole world accept things as is as mostly it is our reaction that makes thing difficult for us. Thoughts are like the clouds in the blue sky and blue sky is who we really are. Clouds move in the direction the wind is blowing. Similarly our reactions move in the direction of our emotions. If we set our mind to receive and let go thoughts with no ownership, the life will be as beautiful as the rainbow.
