My Fitness Journey

    Hi all
    Hope you are doing good
    I'm planning to restart my fitness journey after a long break
    The template is simple
    1. It will be a life long journey and I plan to form lasting habits initially
    FOOD
    2. Eating clean is my top priority.
    Eat 3 simple home cooked meals
    Balanced diet and keep a track off my macros
    Eat adequate protein and fiber ( my weak areas)
    5 servings of fruit/ veg per day
    5 servings of carbs per day
    Healthy fats
    3. Not to feel guilty and lose track if I give in to some craving. The plan is to bounce back and continue.
    EXERCISE
    1. Some form of physical activity 30 min a day
    2. Try doing strength training at home (eg. Squats etc)
    MAINTAINING A JOURNAL
    MAINTAINING a food and exercise journal and being accountable to myself.

    Those who are interested do pop in.
    Let's login everyday and report our progress.
    No periodic weight checks at least until the next 4 weeks.

    I have been trying to eat clean albeit with a cheat meal once in a while but not been able to workout as regularly as i want to for the past month. I lost 2 kgs but gained back one kg:disappointed: . I am journaling my intake in myfitnesspal. I would like to team up and post updates. What kind of updates are u planning to post?

    I have help to cook. So I don't have an excuse to not have home cooked meals.
    By serving I mean half cup of fruit or veg and one cup of greens

    I will join. I was doing so good till December and then come Jan and Feb, the weight started to come back. Nowadays, I am eating more than what I should.
    I try to follow 'dirty keto'- that's what works for me. I will join here, to be accountable to myself.

    1. I want to reduce my portion size. I have calculated the macros.
    2. Eat less frequently; only between hours of 10am- 7pm.
    3. Eat 3 meals, 2 snacks, don't over do tea, coffee, milk
    4. Walk everyday ~40 min
    5. Reduce the intake of nuts to once a day
    6. Reduce the intake carbs- calculated overall
    7. Reduce the Haldiram snacks- a big one for me- try not to bring in home
    8. Don't eat out of boredom- a big one

    Exercise - 4k steps
    Mood - productive
