Dark has been on my list forever but I only have time to watch one or two episodes of TV a week. Finished GOT and started Chernobyl. Really well made. Makes one shudder to see how much in denial everyone was for the first 2-3 days after the incident, and how ill-prepared they were to deal with radiation injuries. See if you can find it online.

When you can see through the game it becomes easy right? You don't try to outwit or out-manipulate them, you disengage. You limit the amount of access and information you offer and you withdraw from the game. Like they say, "Never wrestle a pig. You both get dirty and the pig likes it."

Yep. The Internet has been gaga about the series. In my watchlist, did find sources to stream, will catch up. :innocent:
What! Is that all? Damnnn I was expecting an elaborate thesis response! :tearsofjoy:

But true. At the end of the day, everything does come down to that. The secret of "real superheroes" I suppose. ;)

    G: K, repeat after me. "A-u-mmm"

I call dibs on Batman. Not really into Superman. In the DC universe my favorite superhero is Batman and in the Marvel universe it is Ironman, who is essentially, Batman's counterpart. Both are ordinary human beings with no superpowers, only intelligence, doggedness and an extraordinary talent for technology — they are self made superheroes. The idea that human beings can elevate themselves above their inherent limitations through knowledge and ingenuity appeals to me.

You know they are rebooting Batman yet again? Looks like Mr Sparkly vampire from Twilight, Robert Pattinson will be the new Batman. He wasn't half bad as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies but can anyone follow in the footsteps of Christian Bale's batman? Chris Nolan's batman movies are still my favorite superhero trilogy ever.

If you are the one to see through "masks", with x-ray mind vision and all, doesn't that make you Superman by your logic? I could be the Batman...masks, walls I got everything baby!

In contrast, I'm drawn towards the idea of (Demi) Gods more! Me like Thor! :sunglasses: The comic hero isn't even anything sxy like the blockbuster guy but still...! :grinning: Second would be Hellboy and BPRD (outside M/DC universe though). Maybe because I'm a mythology enthusiast?

Currently watching the 'Lucifer'. Would you believe me if I said, the core concept of the series, a fallen angel on Earth and other related stuff, was also my idea for a comic book when I was a kid? Everything almost ditto but for the lead - the fallen angel - a female in my storyboard. Lol, feels funny now. So I watch the show with much interest, wondering now and then how it had been if it was mine. :tonguewink:

Oh, wait, dibs on #Supervillains! Loki! :cheer:Haha! Beat you to that! :sunglasses:

Mitto! I don't know if Pattinson will do a good job, ain't a fan anyway. Have to wait to know I guess.

Okay, a serious question. In the (other) "Nolan's universe", is #Root a human superhero? She counts? :tongueclosed::lol:

Two great minds of 20th-century science were extinguished in these past weeks.
Mathematician Goro Shimura, of the Taniyama-Shimura-Weil conjecture, a pioneer in modular forms.
    and
Polymath particle physicist (& Nobel laureate) Murray Gell-Mann, who, like Adam, named the beasts of his field (often whimsically!).
It is sad to see the great lights fade away, one by one.

Not in the beginning. After she becomes Samaritan's analog interface? Sort of. When a benevolent Artificial Super Intelligence interfaces with your brain you literally become super human. : ) It wasn't so much that Root became super human, it was the machine that took on Root's attributes and became ...human!

I was finally able to start watching Dark. Had the afternoon to myself. Saw two episodes while doing the weekly meal prep. First impressions are positive. Looks well made though I figured out the plot line halfway through the first episode. They're still setting up the character arcs. I am curious to see where it goes. : )
