@pocahontas I like the disney movie pocahontas v much..by the way I am Mulan here..and yes we can be friends
Right now just be happy that no one is asking you to cook for everyone! As long as either cook / MIL does cooking, just chill out and pretend that MIL is great cook, even if u think otherwise!
@Needtobestrong, if I cook that is going to be the biggest punishment to all of them...mil and sil might start praising the cook eventually!!!
Dear friends, Now that I have started coming to IL more than often and sharing the details of my life, i just could not refrain from posting this sad update. My cook's son committed suicide along with the girl he loved yesterday as her parents did not agree to the wedding. He was a v nice soft spoken boy with a smiling face..My cook is also a v good lady with v high integrity, dedication and moral values. She struggled so hard for her children and their future. Yet this is what she got in return apart from poverty. May their soul rest in peace and may god give her enough strength to sail through the rest of her lives..
technically no. this is your house and your extended relatives should adhere to the rules of your house. So you should continue the way the cook is cooking and they should help but not criticize. but now you are WISE enough to realize to avoid this drama. I would totally agree with all the ILs advising here. however this is still a power play, you should still do the same if you ever visit their homes, ( i have done it ), to make them feel how it hurts if someone comment on your lifestyle for no reason. sorry if i sound aggressive, sometimes, just being too nice hurts a lot.
