    kkrish, it is nice of you to also ask about the back-to-back. This way, others asking the same question feel less awkward.
    It need not certainly appear as favoritism. Like Viswa or someone said in another post, it depends on so many things. Which other posts were nominated that month, which post struck a chord with many readers and so on.

    Yes there is some set of guidelines somewhere.

    How about a set of criteria for those who nominate: Go check the winners of past six months and nominate only if the member has not won in past six months. How much fun will that be? Yes, not much.
    ================

    Even Viswa the most equanimous among us did not do the FP judge job for long. It is indeed a thankless job. Would anyone like to take it up? : ) And keep up their other regular contributions?

    I like this comment:
    We must have nominations that are at least the length of a standard "tweet", with reasons why the nominator thinks it is a good/useful/fine post. This makes others go and read the nominated post, which they'd otherwise not do. After all, most of us read only a few posts, and such recommendations from others would help. Some IL'ite posting a review of someone else's post as a good-read would be the recognition that a fine-post deserves.

    Winners get others to read and comment on their posts. No prizes. No need for the Mods to do anything.

    Thank you for clarifying why I was awarded back-to-back @Viswamitra.
    So that was all that was.. "An award given in error?" Wow!

    @Mistt - Hope you accept that this was a honest mistake.
    What more is required from the Mod who has accepted it was an "award given in error"?

    It is actually I who should be feeling insulted by this revelation.:biggrin:
    Can I start a ruckus now?

    We cannot turn the clock back. So I request to please accept this explanation and move on.

    Please stop talking about the mods and their intentions and about the person who left ... please.

    Let's move on....

    What Insult? That post/essay/writeup must'a been so good, or good enough, or at least head&shoulders above the nominated ones for that month, to make the selectors go blind to the statutes, and commit that error.
    Congratulations !
    (disclosure: I haven't read that error thing yet.)

    The FP thing is the only organized thing still going on in IL now. FWIW, we read the FP announcement post, and on the first of the month, with a mild curiosity go to see who are the winners. It is mostly working. Let it be as is.

    Some parallel things could be started. Maybe a "You Should Read This Post" or "I want to bookmark this post" thread. And members post about posts they liked and why they found the post remarkable. No limits of 4 per month, nothing. Just a collection of what ILites found to be a good/useful/fine post. If they can't come up with words to recommend the post they can ask Amulet to do the deed.

    I understand where you are coming from @Rihana
    I was merely putting myself in the other person's shoes and I felt that I can understand why she felt that way.

    Personally I may not look at it that way. It then becomes "look at it my way or else you are wrong". Different folks different strokes. i want to respect that.

    As for asking about my own back-to-back award.. I take the bull by its horns and strongly believe in open communication. Hehe! Solves many problems than talking round and round about the elephant in the room.

    @kkrish,

    I used the words "Genuine error" as the term to say in violation of the rule, if there is one, as indicated in your earlier quote above. It doesn't mean the thread doesn't deserve to win for the content. There is nothing to feel insulted, in my humble opinion.
