    I have always wondered if Samskrit Sloka Chamakam was conceived in the month of May. If you have heard it being chanted, you will understand why I have this doubt. Just listen to the Sloka. That helps me to make an auspicious beginning in inviting nominations for the month of May. During the fag end of April, we all engaged ourselves listening to the latest news about the super cyclone Fani. It has been playing hide-and-seek and making all of us to forget the Soaps on our favorite channels and listen to the latest news about Fani. More and more people came to know that the Meteorological Department engaged themselves in weather forecast and not in the study of the wandering meteors in the sky. The process of learning never ends in our life you know! And today is the May Day. We all have a day’s holiday in the middle of the week and decide to spend it eating and sleeping.

    That brings us to the subject of Finest Posts nominations. They say ‘Shubasya Seekram’ meaning good things should not be postponed. I, therefore, suggest that immediately after your May day siesta, you look into the posts that you like and nominate them.

    I earnestly look forward to a surge in the number of nominations this month. The thought makes me rub my palms with glee!

    Each member is allowed to nominate up to 4 posts only.
    This ensures that each of us have a hand in deciding the winning post as we will filter our choice more closely, thus making the winner more significant.

    The nominations will be closed on the last day of every month. Simultaneously, the nomination thread for the following month will be opened on the First day of that month.

    In case of nominating FBs, please remember to add a link to the FB and not to the original post.

    The following gives step-wise on adding links to your nominations –

    - To add a link to the original post that you are nominating:
    How to add a "Link" in my post?

    My dear Viji
    Thanks a lot for your nomination of Farewells And Cherished Memories by @GeetaKashyap
    A lovely, soulful post that caresses our hearts. This thread has become enormously popular that makes me wonder why it had taken so long to get nominated. Talking of nostalgia of old friendships I must say that women cherish their old memories a lot more than men. This thread is soaked in femininity. When we talk of the feminine attributes of Lord Rama, we emphasize on his love for his friends. He even added his boatman to his kinship. But by and large, men do not think of the past particularly in respect of their old friends. I loved this post by Geeta

    @iyerviji
    Not in a mood? That is very unusual of Viji. Don't give me that excuse this month!

    My dear Mistt
    Thank you for your nomination of @DDream 's excellent response to aamrapali's Continued: Married Life Which Still Has Not Started
    I particularly loved her words
    This is a question that is not only relevant to the OP's predicament but to all of us. Most of us lead our life without knowing the answer to this question.
    A lovely response indeed!
