    Just a fun thread..:)

What’s the little secret which you want to scream out but fake it as though you are fine with it?

    Mine?

I absolutely loathe birthday parties.drag myself just for kid’s sake..
At the end of the day..kids need to have fun..but how much I hate it!!!
Also generally hate these potlucks and getogethers! Those are the worst!Just only with few one or two likeminded friends once in a while.
Making small talk, dreading certain people and just smile so fake that even fakeness will be surprised.Looking at certain people and their talks and false appreciation...how tiring!!and Just day dreaming the time I will be back to my own sweet home, lying on my bed with my laptop and watching my feel good movie..this sounds boring? To me..that’s the best:)

When I have to appreciate my sisters baking.:grin:
I mean at Times she's good but I just hate those cakes and sugary stuff .. Honestly I'm not a fan of sugar and maidha . Now the problem is the moment I fake it's awesome the next cake is ready for me:facepalm: (hope she's not in IL )
My MIL's cooking. I have a certain preference of food .A Lil spicy with chatpata masala is my preference . My MIL's cooking it totally satvik . Less spice, no onion no garlic. Today's avial I had about a cup of it . It was okay because but it had turned sour by the time I ate in the evening but I faked it saying she makes the "best avial" .
My manager's dressing sense. She's a bit boring and prefers to buy only blue dresses and I like all the pink yellows and green. Everytime she flaunts her navy blue dress giving me a suggestion that I should buy at the shop she brought I fake it saying how wonderful the dress is! And I'm going to that shop right away
Otherwise I'm an honest and "tell it on the face " person. When it comes to someone's cooking I fake it most of the times as I want to respect their efforts and not comment anything negative.

I hate small talks and tired when I have to do so i fake like i am busy and get out asap.

Guests in my kitchen using moist or wet spoon in ginger garlic paste jar, tamarind concentrate dabba or ready-made mango/lime/tomato pickle bottles. I feel like screaming but often have to smile and be polite. Thing is that if you are accessing those jars in my kitchen, you are old enough, and you are "family" enough to know the no-wet-spoon rule.

It's really simple. Don't use a moist, wet or just rinsed spoon for those dabbas. If gently told about it, don't give me scientific proof that my caution is not needed. I don't care about the science behind it. In my kitchen we do not use wet spoons for some things, that's the way my mother and grandmother and great-grandmother did it, and so will I. That's it. And above all, if I catch you before you dip the wet spoon in the dabba, kindly don't wipe and dry the spoon on the back of your pant or dress. Please.

This is actually not fun and more serious than the corrupted ginger-garlic paste. : )

A friend and I going to a much-awaited movie or naatak/concert. Got good seats. She is driving. Half way to the place, uses cell phone when driving to find parking near the venue. Wallet phone case is open, on her lap, and she is searching..... I hastily say, "Hey I can look it up." She says, "No it's fine.. I know this parking garage that will have spots..."

I give up. If I say more, it will increase her cell phone usage time. After she puts away the phone, I feel like telling her straight, "please don't be on the phone for so long when driving.. 1 or 2 sec quick reply to text is one thing... searching parking is !!!!" But I keep quiet.

And that too in a car that is 17 years old. Fault is mine though for not speaking up.
    =======

So those are my secrets. Keep quiet as I've come to realize friends and friendships are more valuable.......

Besides the birthday parties/ theme parks/ small talk / potluck : I hate that we are too connected to everyone by phone/cell phone/ FaceTime/WhatsApp/ . I cannot come up with good enough reasons to not pick someone’s call anymore, specially when it involves idle chit chat.

When I am alone at home I eat all the things by making them more interesting with cheese or pickle or butter etc. :tongueout: That is the only reason I feel good to have MIL around.:hmmm::grinning:
