Very true. Tat doesn’t change the fact that the majority of the cases are against men. Infact more stringent laws should be followed to protect woman from getting harassed by her husband and inlaws.

Obviously the coin has 2 sides, but most of the times only tat particular side of the coin (gender) is targeted

Very true. The law should be so strict that people get so frightened that they won’t dare to do such heinous crime against woman. And obviously when there is no crime no false accusations too!

In a(ny) country, where police are paid very poorly, such laws create rain-making opportunities for them to add to their incomes. There is no point in trying to arrest a poor person (or his family) with empty pockets. The upper middle class and the wealthy (without appropriate political connections to counter the police harassment) with deeper pockets would be good targets.

Unless law-enforcement authorities are paid well enough, and face a huge jeopardy to their own life/livelihood in misusing their powers, there'd be corruption. From a simple road-side shaking down of two wheeler drivers to threatening arrest of an upper middle class gruhasta. Legislators contemplating something new, must start by giving serious thoughts to how the proposed law could be used to make money by those entrusted with the enforcement of that. Legislators -- most of them being good at bilking their boon -- are naturally best equipped for such considerations.

Thank you Madam for understanding the implication behind the snippet. There may be 1:99. But law is for individuals. Even if it is one single individual he has to be given justice.
I know fully well that this type of snippet will be treated with scorn and contempt.Yet I wanted to share my thoughts.

Someday our ballot papers might add candidates who'd be called "M.L.A. ver. 2.14" right above the candidate "NOTA" [none of the above], and if elected, that member of the legislative assembly would be thoroughly non-bribe'able.
Recently there was a political hullaballoo about the symbol "Pressure Cooker" for a candidate. For the Robot-candidate the symbol could be a laptop.

Quite interesting! Election propoganda is already in full swing. That non bribable candidate may most probably be a robot, well trained as a non bribable person under the guidance of many MLA s in the fray for 50 years.Even then will it be a better choice?
