Why do you think brain drain is happening? Reservation is one of the top reasons! No one want their younger ones to suffer the same thing, what they went through.

Why ?
GoI likes the foreign currency remittances that workers abroad send home. Quite a lot comes in from the gulf countries; and some from the western countries. And that would beg the question whether "brawn/brain drain" is by some cunning plan of the GoI ? Stress people at home (source) with low opportunities, horrid life and severe competition, and they will want to get out ? Human resources is our big export item.

When GoI is in bilateral talks (on economic cooperation, and trade, they'd say) with some other country, the issue of visa-availability for temporary workers always comes up in the discussion. Why is that ? We want our people out, and stay out. In the long run, we'd have desis's all over the planet, influencing the decisions of local governments in favor of whatever the desi's want to favor. All because of reservation and quotas.

To those supporting newly introducedEWS reservation system.
How is that a good move?
Either all kind of reservations are bad or none are.
Because any type of concession interferes with merit .
As I understand opposition to reservation is opposition to dilution of merit.
So not supporting EWS thing at all.
