What are you reading now?

Because if you notice I did not say that the cover art was good, just that I liked it. It isn't amazing rather quirky I would say, but hey it made me pick up the book so I think it fulfilled its purpose.

I will dig up that thread about cover art though

 

i just completed : a hat full of sky by Terry Pratchett.
i read terry pratchett for the first time & i am very very impressed. the story comes under YA section, it is the story of an eleven year old girl Tiffany & her journey as she discovers what being a witch means .
interesting read , the book had several sections that make you stop reading and think deeply about what the author is saying. no gory violence or sex or disturbing details, but it still lays out valuable life lessons .
i have marked a lot of lines in the book & i am going to read it again.

 

You have no idea how jealous I am of you. You get to enjoy all his books for the first time.

Pratchett books are always a treasure.

Current affairs got me into the mood to read something on Indian politics, found the book - "Kashmir: The Vajpayee Years"
by A.S. Dulat. #Kashmir #Vajpayee #Dulat... Tempting enough! The narrative is simple, good for me to understand given the political context. Events mentioned mostly dates back to the times I was still a kid so have to look up the wikis now and then, only more interesting for my curious mind. Enjoying the read so far.

Not being diplomatic, but too hard to choose. If I had to pick I would start with ' Guards,Guards' , or 'Going Postal', 'Color of Magic' or 'Mort' or ' Equal Rites'

But bigger fanatics than me, have come up with a reading order for the Prachett book if you are so inclined. All these books are stand alone but as you get to know his characters you will know what to read next.

 

Since you liked the witches story, I think you will really enjoy equal rites

 

It is nice to know and gather wonderful titles for acquisition and leisurely read later to restore aplomb:
but at the moment I am anxious and concerned for the OP @adisum who had posted yesterday in non fiction category disquieting title “I Want To Commit Suicide” about her intention.

Relax uncle. OP will be fine. She was very stressed out when she posted. Posting would have been like giving a vent to the pent up feelings. I'm sure she will come online and update us. You take care.
