Nominating @Gauri03's response about "raising virtuous children", there is always something deep to take home from her posts, one such finest perspective again.

Thanks a lot Geeta for seconding this nomination. I am extremely sorry about my forthnights' hibernation on this forum. :(

Thanks for the nominations here, Afresh. Both nominations are extremely deserving, but that is not surprising, coming as they do from the keyboards of two stalwarts here. When Geeta writes, one does not have to indulge in an 'endless wait' to nominate. :grinning: As for Sabitha's snippet ..... well, what do I say? It is not everyday that one comes across a person who can stop in every moment, stay there, savour it and what's more come and share it so eloquently. We are lucky to have that rare individual with us here on these forums.

    Dear signature,

Thanks a lot for the nomination. I feel really very distressed at this atmosphere of communalism that has taken over our country. People seem to have forgotten the principles of democracy and free will while moderating their words, so that others are not hurt.

Yes, it did become something of a joke when an erstwhile PM kept talking about it all the time. But to say all Hindus drink cow urine is unfair and nothing short of intolerance. It is far from the truth. Even if it were true, one has to say that there might be more than a grain of truth in the claims of its medicinal value.

Chemotherapeutic potential of cow urine: A review

Let alone cow's urine or drinking it, the very fact that people have grown so insensitivities to other people's practices and beliefs is indeed distressing and does not help the cause of a secular democracy.

    Dear Vijima,

Thanks a lot for nominating this thread. sln's write ups are a source of eternal delight to read. The very title is a beautiful pun on the word 'spice'. Travelling by air has ironically become something of an adventure in the 21st century. It might be easier and safer to travel to the moon and beyond. One can only imagine how frustrating when one has to spend endless hours to travel a short distance which should not take an hour at best. More time is spent getting to the airport and boarding an aircraft than it takes to reach the destination. Sad state of affairs. That sln could approach it in lighter vein and present it in a humorous way is really great and for sure, we all enjoyed reading it.
