    @jskls
    Dear Lakshmi
    A beautiful picture you have painted there. When we talk of flowers, I'll refrain from mentioning my home city where nothing grows! When I read your blog, I was reminded of my visit to the Valley of Flowers which I visited decades back. The flowers there are indeed visual treats. You won't see them anywhere else.

    There are flowers reported to bloom once in 3000 years. Since they are not properly documented, I am not mentioning them here. But there are flowers reported to bloom once in a 100 years.
    I am humbled by reading about these wonders of Nature.

    That was such a treat to read, Lakshmi. Truly, Nature has so much to offer those who have time to turn to her and eyes to see her beauty! Enjoy!

    Gorgeous flowers Lakshmi! Do you know the name of the Hyacinth variety by any chance? Your write up painted a colorful picture in my mind! I've been sneaking out of work and walking around the local nursery soothing my eyes with the greenery. One day I will have a home with a conservatory so I can have a little patch of year-round spring. After all, what is spring made of but hopes and dreams. : )

    Dear Lakshmi,

    Thank you for your gripping description of how your day during the Polar Vertex was well spent watching the blossoming flowers, foot prints of animals in the snow and watching Red tail Hawk. When we heard about the announcement that USPS is cancelling the service one day due to extreme weather for the first time in the history, I felt what it would be like in Midwest. Even here in Florida, we have touched low 30 degrees just in the night. I was still able to go for my morning walk with a light sweater.

    The days are very pleasant when we observe the nature around us. The pain is only when we begin living in our thoughts as our mind has the tendency to highlight things are not going so well more than happy events. There has to be a rational to it but I don't even want to think about it. Let us be in the present moment and leave the mind to mind its own business.

    Now I know why plants, insects, birds and animals are always happy because they have nothing to discriminate.

    Thank you @Cheeniya sir. Wow good to know about Valley of Flowers. Looks heavenly beautiful. Didn’t know about the once in 100 year flowering cactus. That’s really amazing. Nature is really wonderful. Thanks for sharing
