Best,warm Winter Jackets ??

Does it snow where you reside? What is an avg lowest temp during winter season?

North face is more like a fall, early or end of the winter jacket. Might not work for severe/harsh winters where the temperature goes in minus. I have a thick Michael Kors jacket I got from Macy's in US and it has lasted me for a long long time and helps with harsh winters. It's a bit expensive, but I got it for cheap during Thanksgiving.

My friend got a Calvin Klein jacket from Ross for cheap and she said it is helping her through severe winters. I have never purchased clothes from Ross, but you can try it. My other friend used to find some decent jackets from Burlington Coat Factory as well. I have noticed New York and Company also having some decent jackets too.

 

Check out Uniqlo down jackets light weight and foldable ones too. I had been using it for second winter (subzero temps ) and it is extremely warm light weight than NF or even wool jackets I have. A bit pricey than NF but worth the price.

Girls must make sure that the jacket does not make you look bulky. Certainly not if you are working hard to look svelte. Thinsulate is a brand of stuffing that makes jackets look slim for the same level of insulation of the body.

Canada Goose is way over the top IMO, unless indeed you live far north in Canada. It's not worth the $700 price tag and I hate the prominent logo on the sleeve. And they use real fur for their linings, if that matters.
I have a variety of winter jackets from LL Bean, Lands End, North Face and Patagonia. Uniqlo aslo has nice winter gear.
1) Heavy, bulky long down coat that looks like I'm wearing a sleeping bag but is very functional in wind and cold and for long walks with the dog in the middle of winter
2) Medium puffer jacket for daily use
3) Packable down jacket for lighter cold: these are very slim and light but surprisingly warm
My absolute favorite though is a Marmot jacket I bought at Costco recently. It was selling for less than half the price of an identical coat on Marmot's website. It is warm, not too bulky and just perfect.
I have a commute that involves a fair amount of walking and waiting for the bus, so I prioritize function over aesthetics. YMMV.
