Moderator... please move my response to appropriate forum if this is not the right place. @GoneGirl . Thank you Gonegirl. Violin, Flute, Veena, Sitar, Sarod, Tabla, and Keyboard are some of the instruments that I know of that are taught online. Not sure about Mridangam. I do not know if beginners find it effective, though face to face, one on one, is the recommended mode for beginners. However, if wecannot find a guru locally, online is a good alternative. I find it very effective for Veena because the camera can be brought very close to the frets to show the fine and very light finger movements to play the anuswaras. Trust this helps.
Ma'am, I too wake up between 6:00Am and 6:30 am almost all days because my dad made me stick to phrase early to bed and early to rise but what about kids timings? Is it okay if school going kids wake up at 9 am on weekends? I need info on this that's why asking. @Amica sorry for disturbing your thread
My children, while in school would get up early on Saturdays ... to attend some 8 am sports events. So my best answer is, it depends. They need adequate sleep during their growing years - eight hours ideal, nine hours i think should be okay. Also depends on when they go to bed. My kids are on their own now and go to bed late on Friday nights... thats why they get up late too. Though we have told them the benefits of early rising, we are not too strict. They are at this age only once and should do some things their way. As responsibilities increase they will recall parents advice and follow them. Life's demands will give them no option.
@kkrish ma'am thank you for your reply and points noted. Agree it depends and my daughter follows me but my Son if he has any activity on weekends he wakes up early and no complaints on his behaviour/ attitude. If he doesn't has any activity on weekend then he prefers to sleep till 9:00 am. I'm not too strict to my kids and I don't like to force them to follow what I like to do. Somewhere I'm in a agree to disagree mode regarding his sleep schedule but reading your reply made me relaxed and thank you once again .
It's about dang time we started paying wait staff a minimum wage. Living off tips is demeaning and unfair. Aww thanks for remembering me. Been busy summering. We get too few outdoor days! I'm glad you clarified 80s. On my last India trip, I felt like a poor church mouse amidst all the fancy branded purses and footwear. .
When daal is described in restaurant menu as lentil soup. Annoys me even if I am not ravenous and hence already low on patience. Don't know why. Naan as leavened flatbread, samosa as fried flaky pastry, is fine.
Actually this is the time to post in 100days positivity.. let me use this thread to be positive rest of the day by venting here 1. Why your mum has cut the call very immediately (I was in busy road) 2. Ohh why you do so much walking (it's about health, pet brains) 3. Let's 3 of us give gift costs 100/ (is this charity?WTH) Go onn.. will be right back
An elderly friend immigrated to America several decades ago. They couldn't get dal where they lived so they would buy cans of lentil soup and do tadka. She tells us this story every time lentil soup is on a menu.
