"wondering How Or When"

The elders didn't want to intervene in their son's life unnecessarily as there was nothing wrong or abnormal about the couple outwardly. They still knew that both Arjun and Maya have some differences.

Elders were ready to help them incase things fall apart or if it was out of their kids control. They prayed for their happiness and togetherness every day.

Anuraga left home after having lunch and all others retired to their rooms.

Maya left Yeshwanth with his grandparents as he wanted to spend some time with his grandfather.

"Let him be here Maya, i will make him sleep. You also rest for a while".

Vishwanathan was happy to spend time with his grandson after long time.

Maya was worried to leave him there as Vishwanathan was looking tired but she had no choice seeing both clinging to each other happily.

"It's ok ma, you don't worry. I will see to it, that he doesn't disturb his grandpa". Vaidehi said with a smile and gestured Maya to go and rest.

Maya nodded with a smile and went to her room.

She opened the door and stood near the entrance, scanning the room. The room had a king size cot in the center and it was covered with flower printed bed spread and two pillows with the same print on both sides. There was a small pillow in between with donald duck printed cover.

One side of the wall next to the entrance had cupboards. There was study table put in the opposite side of the cupboard and it was clean with few items and neatly arranged two or three books.

There was a big mickey mouse poster on the wall and a photo of a little baby was pinned on the chest of the mickey mouse. Next to it was a photo frame, it had a picture of a kid holding somebody's hand and the kid was posing looking at the person holding his hand.

Maya walked inside looking at the photo and stood in front of it. She had mixed feelings looking at the kid and the hand of the person. Her thoughts slowly took her to college days.

Maya was not so studious during her school or college days. But studied well without giving her parents and teachers any difficulties. She had interest in science and computers and was not so happy with maths but never made any excuses and cleared the paper with 90 percentage.

Her love for computers made her to take up computer science and joined in an Engineering college in Chennai leaving her family. Maya's family was settled in Coimbatore (Kovai), her father Maheswaran was a senior manager in a private bank and mother Seetha was a head mistress in a reputed school.

Maya's elder sister Manjari immediately after her graduation joined as a part time maths lecturer in the college were she studied. She was waiting to get enrolled herself for the masters in the same college.

Both sisters were very bubbly and naughty. They would make the house upside down when their mother isn't at home. And being a teacher for so many years, Seetha wanted her daughters to be very disciplined and obedient.

She taught them all household chores and also made them learn self defence techniques in school's sports academy. Seetha believed and preached all her students to be independent and bold and she followed the same at home for her daughters.

And at the same time she knew how lively and naughty her daughters were and she never interfered in their playfulness acts. But never entertained them directly also.

Maheswaran was a very supportive husband and both shared all the responsibilities of the family. They complimented and completed the other.

When Maya got her college admission, Manjari became upset first after knowing that she has to part her sister for few years. Maheswaran was upset and showed evidentely from his face but Seetha looked unaffected, though she was feeling upset within.

Maya was the one who looked very happy and excited to see new place and make new friends. Her first day in college was the happiest day in her life is what she thought when she came out after attending the first day classes.

Seetha and Maheswaran convinced Manjari and all went back home after satisfying themselves that Maya will be in safe place and in good environment.

The days moved happily and Maya started to settle herself in the new place with new friends and with her favourite subject. She made many friends and enjoyed everything around her like every other college goer.

After almost a month, every department started to conduct fresher's day function and arrangements were in full swing. Maya was happily helping her friends and started practising for the function.

It was then, one day she saw him during one of her meet with her seniors. He looked tall, well built and handsome when he smiled. She was admiring him without her knowledge and something told her that he is different. Before she could analyse her feelings, her senior called her and engaged Maya in some work.

She kept looking at him often in between her work and smiled to herself thinking that she should soon find a way to speak to him and know more about him.

But she didn't know it then, that day is no way nearer in her life or when that day comes she may fall in short of words.
