Finest Post Nominations - July 2018

Hello all!
I continue to be here to bug you until Satchi takes over the job. She came back to Station only last night and it is unfair to dump this work on her head until her jet-lag clears off. And so, it's time to say 'Ready, set and go'

July is here. This is the time the western India will be deluged by rain and in the East, the farmers will be scratching the bone-dry land. It is as though 2018 started only yesterday and we have already crossed the halfway mark. Around the middle of the month, the Sun will commence its journey southwards. This is said to be the 'dusk to dawn' period for the Devas. All the festivities commence and continue till end of the half year.

Why do I say all this? This is just to tell you that festive season heralds a lot of bonhomie. We become chummier with our friends than before. We keenly look for their creative writing. Every time we read a new post, we rush to nominate it. There is grin and goodwill all around. The spate of nominations starts. Let the music of togetherness begin!

I have opened the session and waiting. Let the nominations pour like the rain in Mumbai.

That's really fast work. Thanks a lot.
Thyagarajan ( I call him Thyagu affectionately) has a penchant for long titles.
Son Is Son, Dad Is Dad Yet Mom Is..... is one of them. This reminds of a book that I came across while browsing with the title "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day". During the last century there was a writer of thrillers who always gave his novels double titles. I do not remember his name right now.
I really love the narrative style of Thyagu as for example, 'My son pointed his index finger to the site, below stomach, where he had intermittent pain" This is rather unique. Normally when we have pain somewhere, we show it by touching the spot with at least four fingers. I should say that his son tackled the Doctor very well. His net gain is Rs.10000 in long term FD.
That's Thyagu for you!

Thanks again for your second nomination of @GeetaKashyap 's response to How To Happily Live Alone
I loved her words 'Our experiences and circumstances shape our lives'. I cannot agree with her more. Our whole life is a sum total of our experiences.
'We have this terrible habit of recalling painful events all the time and suffering again and again'. I too caution people against such unworthy recalls.
An excellent read this is! Fit to be framed and preserved.
