    I had a chance to review my own old photographs. The mind analyzed how active I was in life during that period. That made me think what prevents me from being so active even now. Frankly, it is not the body but the mind that keeps telling me I am 64. I have decided to remind the mind that I have become matured but not old. Interacting with young people reiterate that belief. :)

    Note: In hindsight, I don't like that mustache in the old photographs. :(

    Shipped myself off to a land with no cell towers or wifi. After 8 days of unrelenting greenery, endless woods and splendid silence, the excited electrons in the mind-molecules have returned to their ground state.

    I am ever confused by the staunch adherence to pseudo and folk science by even the most literate and merited folks. Why does fake science and bad reasoning and superstition appeal so much? Because it has all the fine trimmings for swift gossip? Or, truth is dull and boring.

    Amidst the spurious articles bandied on the net with little or no scruples on how human inquiry is sullied with fabricated science, I am enchanted by #futurology and #musings. The intent is not only stark in contrast to other unwholesome and irresponsible forwards and shares in social media but also a flagship thrive in education and growth.

    Usually, I am cross-inquired on my warbling posts: why don't you say what you intend to say in less than two lines. Well, let me try. I want to say that it is a relief to come across women who are hatke and progressive and spirited and responsible in their thought and writing in their distinctive voices.

    5 hard and stressful months later... Things have taken new turns now. I feel disappointed but I'm glad too for a lot of things. Hoping that everything happens for good reasons, here is to my extended living in Dubai! :beer-toast1:

    Yee haa ha hoo ha! That's my positive excitement on taking a punt at dum pukht biryani.

    Lazy Sunday ...going through recipes ..came across dum style.. never tried on stove with a saucepan (to cook) and hob (as heating base) rather than oven. Marinate, layer, slow cook and voila! At times, I surprise myself. Hereafter I shall add to my professional resume under positive hobbies: make dum biryani with a pot and lid on Sundays.

    I also got alerts that you clicked Like on many. : ) Thank you! Was nice to go back and re-read old posts.

    ===================
    Was at a very popular restaurant that was very crowded. We got a table that we later realized was more of a "waiting area" with two sofas and small low inconvenient tables. Another group lingering around at their already cleared table saw that and one lady from that group came over, tapped me on the arm and said, 'you guys can move over to that table.' They emptied the table even before our drinks arrived. They didn't have to.

    Dinner started on that note of unexpected human goodwill. Turned out to be a memorable one.

    I don't know if I have become jaded, cynical or what... but that little gesture touched me no end. Each bite, talk, laugh, question to waiter, the lighting, the happy buzz of conversation around ... are etched in my mind for ever.
