Very sad to hear this Sats.
His posts were always fun to read. A very bubbly and happy person.
May his soul rest in peace.
My prayers to God to give his family strength during this difficult time.

can’t help the thought that it’s Mahashivratri today .
I am sure he chose the date .
I never knew from his writings what he went through . I never knew someone virtually can affect me so much .
    RIP Kamal Jee !

    What a lovely tribute Satchi.
I remember most of his blogs ended with What's App jokes. Saddened to hear the news. May his soul RIP.

    Dear Satchi,

I am truly saddened to know about Kamalji's departed soul. How many times, he picked up the phone and called me here in the US? "Viswa, next time when you come to India, please visit Jaipur. I promise that Harshaji makes nice vegetarian meal as she is herself a vegetarian". His jokes cocktail is a treasure hunt.

If he wrote a snippet about his encounter with Ganeshji, I wrote one of my own from a completely different view. I truly lost a friend in him. Let the Lord shower His grace for this noble man to be in a better place (heaven) despite his joke that he would like to go to hell as it is where he will find most of his friends. Let his family be blessed to recover from this loss.

    Viswa

Oh, man. He was one of a kind! My attempts to clarify and 'defend' one of his posts led to dramatic quarrels with those holding opposing views. We commiserated. How could I forget? Bummer. :tired:

This is so sad. I was just thinking yesterday that I had not seen one of his posts for a long time, and now this. May his soul rest in peace and his family find strength at this difficult time.

Satchi , remember the Rajesh Khanna movie Anand? Like that character Kamalji never lost his sense of humour even after knowing that he was affcted by cancer. He fought it bravely and his trade mark guffaw never left him. It was he who dragged me to IL despite my initial hesitation and thanks to him IL has remained an addiction..

Dear Sacthi, all day all I could think of was how to stay happy and jovial like Kji did all his life. I am sure as I learn to implement that, I will think of him often and so fondly. Interestingly, I was also reminded of his dog and his peacocks more than anything else.

It was past midnight when I read your post @satchitananda that Kamlji was no more. I had just returned from the temple after attending the MahaShivratri puja. Disbelief - how can someone so full of life not be alive?

He wrote, when one passes away , people should celebrate the life of the person, no roona-dhoona for him. And look at him, he left on Shivratri when everyone was celebrating- a night of awakening, of higher thinking - even in his death, he has made me ruminate about how to live life .

When I was going through some tough time, I wrote a blog post . His sincere encouragement meant a lot to me . Our opinions could differ, but what a man! His verve, his pragmatic nature , his approach to life - this man from a virtual world would make a difference in my perspective of life - I doubt he knew it. We only regret the things we dont do - how I wish I had made time to meet him when I visited Jaipur in 2010. That he could connect with so many people in different walks of life, just shows what a wonderful human being he was.

Tonite I will be going out to spend some time with DH.
We will be talking about you Kamalji And , my non-alcoholic jaam , appke naam :beer-toast1:
