It's with a very heavy heart that I inform all of you that our dear Kamalji passed away two hours ago after putting up a brave fight against cancer. I had the privilege of meeting him for the second and the last time on the 5th of January 2018. Am totally numb. May his soul rest in peace and God give his family and all his dear friends comfort and succour in this hour of grief.
ohhh Sachi, I am shocked. I always loved reading Kamalji's threads. No words to express......May God rest his soul in peace.
God! Saddened to hear that. Loved his upbeat personality that came thru his writings. Long ago, in a different forum, he encouraged me to blog ... Rest in peace , Kamalji!! Where ever you are , I am sure , the place will be filled with laughter and happiness . My heartfelt condolences to his wife and daughters.
May his Soul rest in peace. My deepest sympathies go out to his family. May God give them the strength to bear the great pain.
Very saddened to read this. His upbeat, bindaas posts were fun to read. He ruffled many a feminist feathers here : ) including mine, with his frank views. True. I have a feeling he'd also want to be remembered with a smile, some laughter and a good drink or two. Here is a joke. Not as selective as the ones he posted in each snippet. I was buying mangoes at the junction while waiting for change I saw a woman with a little child. The child was walking a bit faster than the woman and the woman shouted; "Degree wait for me". I was so amazed hearing that name. So to satisfy my curiosity, I walked closer to the woman and asked; "Maa, why do u call this child degree?" The woman laughed and said, "I sent her mother to the University and this is what she brought home..." ======================= R.I.P Kamalji. Your snippets and jokes always reminded me of some beautiful years from childhood -- my dad, The Illustrated Weekly and Khushwant Singh's 'With Malice towards one and all.' Sincere condolences to Kamalji's family, near and dear. He will be sorely missed in IL.
Really sad to hear this. Have read some of his posts which were humorous. Heartfelt condolences to his family. May God give them the needed strength.
