Social reform is always slow. It takes a few generations for just to have one aspect modified.
I think we have come a long way... from sati, child marriage, women not stepping out of the home, to encouraging widow remarriage, single parenthood, to sending women into space.
Yes, there is still more pending.

My honest opinion is in addition to men changing on how they treat women, we women also should change a lot on how we treat each other. Unless we respect our own, how can we ask others to do the same.

For example I heard in a group conversation one lady asking another, "Does your daughter-in-law call you regularly. Does she call you or do you call her?"
Now I am thinking, will she ask the same question about the lady's daughter? This lady is poisoning a good relationship here.

So, yes we have a long way to go. But the change should start somewhere. Your story is one good starting point.
Hope I have given some fodder for your next story Geeta.

    @ kkrish,

    I agree with you totally.

That is the reason I added lines like, "Maggar began, “Start strengthening Reena and her inner resolve. Let the society and her parents, at least in your story, stand by her. Knowing the way our system works, there is no sense in putting me through a trial..…” and "...Just support each other and raise your voice whenever it is needed. Be United! Someday in future, women may…yes, women may get their well-deserved place in the society. Until then…keep fighting for your rights. Don’t give up! Good luck!”

Hopefully, at least through forums like Indusladies, we may educate and liberate ourselves! Thanks to you again and again for stimulating my grey cells.

Good Evening Geeta. Congrats on successful completion of Maggar Singh, My saviour :clap2::clap2::clap2:

Fantastic and Perfect finish Nah The Beginning. With the valuable message and entertainment factor with your catchy and impressive narration you kept us locked till the end. :clap2: Hatsoff Geeta :cheer::cheer: Universe squeezed in Google same way you have captured the big issue of our society in just six chapters :clap2: :beer-toast1:

I don't really see any flaws as such because you were brilliant & it was a perfect plot to criticize ourselves. Yup

    1. We must blame ourselves for giving hypes for unwanted stuffs, pouring monies where not required and stabbing issues which we really need to focus on.
    2. Need to accept the fact that yarodhru ondhu heje mundhey ittare marudhina avara heje guruthu kuda e prapanchadhale irodhila so with the fear people back pedal...
You have touch based very well :clap2::clap2: Nimma kathaiya twist is good geetha and for a story this is a remarkable one but practically to bring in the change oh god ana ashtu changes bekrithey. We all know women have overcome a lot of social issues but this is not enough. Kai ege Beligalu hakiruva swathanthraya....Can't fly even when we have wings.. Yarige beku idhu antha heloku hagodhila because something is better than nothing. If we really want our growth and freedom we need to struggle for it.

Hope to see a better safety for women in near future. Let them be respected and not to be used for commercial purpose. I don't say men doesn't come across any issues they do but I really don't want compare and talk about the issues.

Let us foresee a society which is free from Male Vs Female comparison...Freedom from domination, corruption, poverty.

We have enough and be we don't have enough antha heluva paristhithu.

Let there be a full stop for the brutal and cruel act.

Stories and movies are replica antha helthare in certain aspects n the stories are plotted based on our real life issues keeping that in mind why don't we focus to use it as mode for brining a change. Please note IN GOOD WAY for the betterment of the society.

Let us understand the practicality of life and beauty of life. Money and fame is nothing in front of happiness....

Ayoo eno bashana helo hage idhey geetha..but ella namali iruva anxiety indha... Blade hakdhey I will stop here.

Pen is mightier than sword. Let us not give up until we reach the stage called EQUALITY IN EVERYTHING.

Thanks once again for this valuable series and WISH you all the best for the upcoming endeavours:number_one:.

    @GeetaKashyap

    I am late today :(

Great finish and super twist in the story! I am glad I nominated you for the Finest Post-January 2018.

"Let the society and her parents, at least in your story, stand by her." I was touched by this line as this is the place where everything begins.:clapclap::clapclap::clapclap:

Kidnap angle and Maggar's advice to you, Geeta madam were match winners for me! Punches and the messages were loud and clear:cheer: Well done! It was a unique and a refreshing treat:thumbup::number_one:.
