    @nandinimithun , I have pressure cooked cucumber , toor dal. grinded sambar powder, coconut, and one tomato. Boiled the ground paste, cooked dal and cucumber, tamarind paste and salt. Have given the tadka.

    @Sunburst i meant the same thing has so many names. arre label had kodri and you said sanwa.. that is what i meant


    i make kozhukattai, adai, kitchdi, pulao, bhaths, dosai and idli and pongal. most recipes for the same are here in this thread

    once you get the knack of getting it right as per your requirement. either fluffy or mushy, you are set

    i make the same except instead of sambhar powder i grind kootu powder.

    make it with dal and tomatoes, dal and gongura/sorrel, dal and radhish, and dal and coriander stalks(i don’t waste the long thick stalks. they are flavorful in sambhars) and no tamarind and more tomatoes mostly.
