    There's an episode in Big Bang Theory (American sitcom) where Leonard and Howard desperately want Sheldon back on the team. Sheldon is the heart, brain, spirit and substrate of that show. Sheldon writes a partial equation on a writing board and withdraws. He refuses to finish the equation. They want him back to emerge as a team. They don't know how to lure him back. Leonard deliberately writes a faulty construct in the equation on the board to incite him. Sheldon gazes at that board and lazily scratches something. Leonard and Howard are pleased on Sheldon's traction but their joy is short-lived when they notice that Sheldon erased the faulty construct and smudged a cartoon figure in its place, then mocks their attempt to lure him back.

    The heart, brain, spirit and substrate of this snippety show is no Sheldon but is considerate and brave to have emerged with a kind gesture that has been the most awaited and forthcoming stride. Mary Poppins would have merited this fleeting moment only as a 'spoonful of sugar' but she also buoyantly instructed that 'every task you undertake becomes a piece of cake'.

    Dear @Iravati ,
    MY VIRTUVAL EMAILER FROM FAR OFF LAND,
    I am amazed to see the effort you have put in to post your reply in long handwriting that too fully in capital letter for my fb.

    You have mentioned that you have become a scribbler inspired by our Rambler whose ramblings we all love to read. Thanks to our respected rambler @Cheeniya for inspiring you to become a scribbling artist. Not only scribbling, also hilarious fbs posted by you to other members.

    @Iravati
    There was a time in my life when I was madly in love with Julie Andrews. Nobody could have done Mary Poppins better than her. The line I like most in Spoonful of Sugar is the opening one:
    In every job that must be done
    There is an element of fun

    This has been the guiding principle of my entire life. Mark the words 'that must be done'. Normally people dislike the jobs that must be done. They bemoan 'Why should it be me?' Give them a job that they like doing and they go after it with gusto! This is human nature and that's where I love Mary Poppins' philosophy. There is an element of fun even in suffering. That fun component makes the suffering less painful.

    You cannot fathom my cursive. It's horrible! Therefore, the capital lettering. Hence, less writing in general prior to the internet.

    A rambler writes meandering posts, yet, his talk and standing is fetching and converges afar. They would still connect and string their writing together. On the other hand, a scribbler has no inclination to be sensible or coherent. She will write like she has hundred same things to say in thousand discrete ways. Scribblers are notorious for such gimmicks. Take that 'Scriblerus Club' of the Augustan Poets from the 18th century which included satirists like Jonathan Swift, Alexander Pope, John Gay and other men of letters. They invented a fictional writer known as 'Martinus Scriblerus' to publish their satirical works and profane the absurdities of the mannered and cultured society.

    Like that founding insurgent Martinus Scriblerus, his acolytes, the scribblers, are never square and straight. They will write something to mean something other which people would infer as something else. When a rambler talks to a scribbler, it is never dull. They will never have a pedestrian day like below. When they talk, they arouse fun and playfulness. They bring out the best in each other and then ponder why other people find life bleached and boring. Even if we tried very hard, Cheeniya and I can never have a day so bland.

    Mary Poppins escapes consummation. You think you get her, then, when you further listen to her, you get her even more. Once might indict her of doing a number on you, that too an irrational number, but she is only instructing you on totting up your balanced book with careful measure. Is she?

    People from time immemorial have struggled to define such supra women. To our rescue comes that Roman author Sallust. After nibbling on his quill for a considerable time to describe a similar woman of his age, he finally wrote thus about Sempronia: "She was a woman of no mean endowments".

    Our Miss Supra Sempro Poppins is the embodiment of that sentiment. She may not be a woman of awards and pre-eminence but she is a woman of no mean endowments.

    I am making an appearance on the screen after a hiatus of six years since the exit of my wife mithila kannan who had her own fan club in indus ladies. Some one expressed his anguish about writing by saying that the moment he took the pen it weighed like Lead.It becomes easier when we want to express and not impress.Mark Twain said that he had no time to pen a short letter.Divergent thinking followed by convergent thinking makes it easier.Your thread has beautifully portrayed the writers dilemma.

    Dear@Iravati,
    I am neither a rambler nor a scribbler, but a failure sticking my finger in many pies. By pure accident I got stuck up in IL from the initial stage and I caught up in the web for good enjoying the posts by lot of veterans in different fields.
