    Dear Vijima,

Read the snippet. That is a wonderful nomination. Iravati has a phenomenal way with words. What's more her illustrations of her writings make them all the more interesting to read. Thanks a lot for the nomination. Looking forward to more.

Thanks Rihana and Jayasala Ma'am for the nomination. As usual another brilliant piece from Viswamitra's desk. Have posted my response there.

    Dear stayblessed,

Thanks so much for this nomination. No matter how many times Sabitha writes about various moments in her life, I can never stop marvelling at her attitude towards life and the fullness with which she lives it. No wonder then that the Universe cannot but reciprocate her feelings by giving her more and more of such moments to enjoy and consequently us the virtual enjoyment of those moments.

    Dear Amica,

Thanks a lot for the nomination of this post. I love the post for its balanced approach and for presenting the other side of the coin. We often seem to overlook the other side and notice the injustice only if a male member of the family is affected.

"I love quotations because it is a joy to find thoughts one might have, beautifully expressed with much authority by someone recognized wiser than oneself." ~ Marlene Dietrich

I am admittedly ambivalent* about the 'wiser', but decidedly certain about the "beautifully expressed." @Iravati has a knack for expressing beautifully, thoughts that one might have. Not only the knack, but the inclination to make the time and the effort it takes. No need to read her Writing Woes to know that such writing takes time.

I would like to nominate this post by Iravati for Finest Post: Guilt To Initiate Divorce. In response to Ira's post, OP there accurately observed: "This post is gold."

*the admittance of ambivalence is to be taken at face value.

I was explaining to you only few minutes ago on how I thwarted the cantankerous lads by eking out on just three words "fine", "okay" and "nice". You have provoked me now to add another utilitarian word to that sparse volley, that is, 'thank you'.

I am often suspected of being duplicitous because my physical acts contradict by self-awared admission. You write crazy ..of course .. I do ... but so much chaos should be restrained to synthesise that distilled crazy. Hence, when someone nominates not my literary post but an advisory post, I am thrilled because for me instruction matters as much as style.

I have never been acclaimed for my writing. I grew up amongst kids who wrote better than me, I had mates who scrawled verses like holy calligraphy. Then I had friends and colleagues who would blaze away in impeccable writing. My writing was never lauded for its literary or exhortatary merit. Therefore, I insist on appending a coda: 'Do I make any sense' to all my writing.

I have often mused that despite beaming with creativity and vibrancy and force in my brain, to transfer that formless drive into lettered expressions is unnerving. I flush at that need. My foremost objective in 2017 has been good writing, to be able to write with ease and clarity.

Gold or other sparkle, I am happy to have been admitted into Mendeleev's solid and metallic row in periodic table for I feared that my writing was gaseous with no cohesion and density.

You have made this pursuit memorable for me with the inclusion of 'thank you' in that tight-fisted quartet.

Sorry about that, Amica. My mistake. I first thought you had entered the wrong name, since I saw the OP was not ashneys. Then I saw ashney's post and realized that you probably meant ashneys and I corrected it immediately. Sorry for not informing you earlier.

    Dear Rihana,

Thanks for nominating Iravati's post. The OP is in a really tough spot to which there are no simple solutions or answers. However obvious (either way) the answer appears to a well-intentioned person making suggestions online, it is very hard not to get emotionally involved and to remain balanced when presenting 'facts' to an OP. I agree with the OP as well as you that this post is sheer gold. Iravati has managed to maintain her objectivity (in an extremely subjective situation) amazingly well, just presenting objective facts and stark reality, however harsh, honestly and sensitively.

No apologies necessary. It can be confusing.

The correct user name is ashneys (with an "s" at the end), not ashney. Sorry if I wasn't clear. Could you restore the "s" in her name, please? Thanks. :)
