A simple tamil proverb _suvarodu analum solli azhu. If you don't have anyone for sharing, atleast cry it out to the wall. These days, it can be, pen it down.

:) Yeah @Nonya. It's natural to think about epidural when we talk about pain . Mostly we talk about 1-10 scale of pain only during delivery. But the pain will go away with 24h, most likely after delivery

Yeah.. there are medical conditions that gives pain for a longer duration and even narcotic pain killers won't help..I have experienced it.. so sharing the info will not reduce it..but may help with mental relaxation and a feeling that some one is listening to you. But you have to tolerate pain yourself and reach a peaceful state with it

OP, sometimes even in a crowd we feel like living alone in Himalayas. You may be talking about people surrounded by loving /caring family members and also about lower grades of pain/struggles That may go away easily by sharing. Not many people have that luxury. Check IL forum. You may find many stories where no one is there to really care or listen. There are problems and pain in life that we cannot share very easily with others even with our close friend. See you can talk based on your limited experience. May be not able to understand what it is in depth. Only the person in pain can understand it.

I don't like to cry in front of others ( that make others sad if they really love or care. I don't like that. It makes me sad again )so I like to cry alone. That helps me.

I hope you read my reply where I clearly mentioned that it is important to find the right one to share our pain, the one we are really comfortable or confident with.
Beyond a limit no one can help you, you need to figure it out and face it yourself . No one can take up your role and play it for you.

I think all healing start with your self.
If you cannot help yourself , no one else.
Even finding a friend to open up or writing diary or seeking professional help or fighting the situation with courage etc.... all starts from you. Only a part of pain can be shared not all. You only can understand the depth of your physical or mental pain . Others can simply listen and watch. They cannot help beyond a limit if it's really severe.

If no one is there God helps.. believe in that. Cry or pray or give time and space to yourself It may help with self healing.
    Everything is transient.

Dear, I don't rate pain from 1-10 scale.. Pains are pains, small, big, emotional or physical. Each & everyone have their own perspective of understanding and dealing with their pains.

There's always a second chance and people will be there to help you. There's nothing impossible until you are dead and give up on yourself. We need to play our role, we need to help us first, we need to motivate ourselves first. First we need to shed our ego and fear, and we should approach people, good books from where we can get some +ve vibes.

    P.S
The pain you go through can not be taken away or replaced instantly, but approaching something positive could be a good start. Not giving a damn about it, forgetting it and motivating yourself constantly will definitely make you wiser and happier eventually.

:hello:Quite true. I read all previous 31 jottings in these pages. An aggregate of all pains reading at one go certainly make one painless or it's intensity diminishes but the real pain emotional or and physical remains latent at the back of the mind.
    2. It is said happiness when shared with like minded or not it multiplies but pain might ....? Diminish dilute or dissolve depends on the other who listens or pretends to liste. But those who heard are the genuine friends empathise and might lend succour emotionally or and physically . Dddream, ado07 & you all are in the same league. Thanks for sharing your emotional and physical pain with this forum. God bless all my sisters on the other side of the shore!
    3. I trust ere this left leg impacted toe healed after reading so much about all varieties of pain aches.
    God Bless us all.
