Episode 76:

“Bye ma!! Call me once you reach dubai and then after you reach brother’s house” – Khaveer said. Rathna waved her hands and both got inside their car.

Rathna was in deep sleep and her alarm rang at 6 o clock.

She sleepily turned it off and kept her cheeks on his chest. Khaveer tightened his hug and both continued sleeping.

After sometime, Rathna opened her eyes hearing the calling bell.

“I think milk” – Khaveer said sleepily and Rathna’s eyes opened at once.

“Let me go and get it” – She pushed him and got down from the bed.

“Time is 7.30?!!! I need to jog!!!” – She quickly refreshed and got ready.

“Hey!! Shall I lock the door and go?!!!” – She patted Khaveer’s cheeks softly.

He held her hands tightly and pretended to sleep.

“Mr.Khaveer! I cant be lazy like you! I have to jog! Have to get bath! And then Pooja! And then only breakfast for you” – Rathna pinched his cheeks hard.

“You cant go today!” – Khaveer said sleepily

“Why?! I will” – Rathna pinched him once again and Khaveer pulled her on the bed.

“Idiot!” – Rathna frowned and Khaveer slowly opened the window.

“See!!” – Khaveer said and Rathna curved her lips seeing the drizzle.

“Its holiday for jogging! Lets keep watching the rain as such…” – Khaveer hugged her tight and Rathna kissed him. Both enjoyed watching the rain from the window.

Soon Rathna had her bath and came out of the bathroom! She cleaned the Pooja room and decorated it with aromatic flower strings.

“Good morning my dear!!” – Khaveer came out of the bedroom

“You dirty! Don’t even talk to me! Get bath first” – Rathna frowned as she lit the agarbathi.

In few minutes, she lit the lamp, murmured few slokas and came out of the Pooja room.

There was a small pot of tulasi plant on the dining table!!!

“Hey whats this!!!?” – Rathna smiled with surprise

“What what?!!” – Khaveer replied as he brushed his teeth.

“This Tulasi plant!!! Thank you my dear!!!” – She hugged him

“Hey Hey!!! I am yet to bath!!!” – Khaveer

“No problem my darling” – Rathna kissed him softly.

“Mad you are” – Khaveer

“Thank you so much for this Tulasi plant” – She smiled at him

“Thank you?!!! I didn’t buy it” – Khaveer smirked

“Then?!!” – Rathna looked at him

“I don’t know! I didn’t buy it for you from the nearby nursery and I didn’t keep it on the dining table” – Khaveer

“Ha Ha! Poor joke my dear husband” – Rathna

“Isnt it really odd when I address you as “husband”?” – Rathna laughed and Khaveer laughed with her.

They were more of best friends kind rather than lovers. And they were never differentiated based on gender or anything else.

“Yeah yeah!!! According to you am stupid! Idiot! Fool! Dog! Pig!!....These were the words you have used to address me na! You will find it odd to address me as husband!” – Khaveer said and Rathna laughed “You are right idiot”.

"We really got married?!!!" - Rathna smiled.

"Thats what the society is saying....what to do" - Khaveer laughed

"I still cant believe that we got married" - Rathna smiled

"You will believe now! Will pinch you hard wait" - Khaveer said and at once Rathna ran into the kitchen.

She smiled as she entered the kitchen.

How thoughtful of Khaveer!!! To buy a tulasi pot….He knows everything. He knows that I start my day with Tulasi pooja. My sweet idiot…..

Rathna started preparing Dosas and Khaveer wiped his face.

Rathna slowly tip toed and went out of the kitchen. She saw him getting ready for shaving. When he didn’t expect, she gave him a wild pat on his back and ran away. Khaveer was quiet. She did the same again and he kept quiet like before.

Rathna tip toed once again and before she raised her hands to pat, shaving cream was sprayed on her face and Khaveer laughed.

“You idiot!!!” – Rathna pushed him aside and washed her face.

Rathna flipped the dosa and tip toed once again.

Khaveer was still in front of the mirror. Seeing Rathna, he took his spray and she ran away without getting caught. She secretly stood near the wall and looked at him.

Khaveer was smiling as he applied the foam on his cheeks....

Rathna smiled seeing that…..

There is no beautiful feeling than to watch your love smiling alone because of you….

Rathna cherished that beautiful moment.




Rathna finished preparing Dosas and both had their breakfast. She sat on the sofa relaxed and took her phone.

Jaanvi: What doing girls

Rathna: Just had breakfast. You?

Jaanvi: Too much work! But you know what?! I get good appreciation for my work in this company. Not like ours!

Rathna: That’s nice Jaan!! How is Arun by the way?

Jaanvi: He is good! we both are planning for movie today ; )

Rathna: Enjoy : D

Sandhya: Am seeing Rathna’s wedding pics again : P

Rathna: Ha ha Ha!!! We all enjoyed after a long time na….

Jaanvi: Yeah yeah!!! It was fun! But missed Lekha!

Sandhya: I am looking fat! You know what….Too much of weight I have gained after marriage. Got to reduce. Don’t know how!!! All of a sudden!!!

Jaanvi: Too much of happiness is equal to too much of weight! He He He

Sandhya: :-/ my dresses are not fitting these days girl!

Jaanvi: I see!

Jaanvi: So how was the honey moon Rathna ; )

Rathna: Good : D

Jaanvi: What did you do : P

Rathna: You idiot!! Started?!!! Will kick you : D Am not Lekha.... remember : P

Jaanvi: you can kick me darling! My pleasure!! ; )

Sandhya giggled reading the chats and Lekha smiled seeing Jaanvi’s questions.


“Khavee!!! Lunch is ready! Can you just buy curd?” – Rathna asked as she turned off the stove.

“Yeah yeah!” – Khaveer at once took his purse and wore his slippers.

In another 10 minutes, Rathna’s phone rang!

“Hello” – Rathna

“I want fish curry now!!! Too tempting!!! Am buying fresh fishes! Can you prepare?” – Khaveer

Rathna was already hungry and she didn’t have any mood to start cooking again.

“Hey! Everything is ready Khavee!!!!” Rathna

“Very badly feel like having fish curry Rathna!” – Khaveer

“Hmmmm!!! Fine! Buy! Will prepare”- Rathna

Khaveer came home happily with fishes wrapped in a plastic bag.

“Its cleaned Rathna! you can cook! I will chop the tomatoes and onions. Ok?” – Khaveer smiled

“Hmmm!!! Cut” – Rathna gave him the vegetables and knife.

Rathna was making the other things ready and Khaveer chopped the vegetables in no time.

Rathna kept the tawa on stove and poured oil.

She was feeling too hungry but she didn’t want Khaveer to wait long.

“Let me finish it as quick as possible! So that we both can have lunch together” – Rathna sprinkled few mustard seeds in the oil and searched the curry leaves.

“Did you see?!!! I kept it here only” - Rathna asked as she looked on the dining table.

“Its here!!! Come” – She heard Khaveer’s voice from kitchen

“What?!!” – Rathna frowned as she entered kitchen and Khaveer was already standing.

Rathna took few curry leaves and put it in the tawa.

“Open you mouth “ – Khaveer gave her a mouth full of rice and curry and Rathna stood surprised.

“Don’t I know you will be hungry…..!!! After all you are preparing everything for me once again…open your mouth” – he said and fed her.

Rathna was touched by his love and she was taken away by surprise.

She ate happily and in parallel cooked happily for him.

“Come on!!! Open your mouth!” – Khaveer gave her the last few grains and washed the plate.

Rathna was too emotional to talk anything. All that she did was she fed him once the fish curry got ready and Khaveer ate happily with a smiling face.

The more she looked at him, the more love she felt. She suppressed her smile which was ready to ooze whenever her eyes saw his face. She kept rewinding of what Khaveer did….

This is called understanding in a marriage?!!! Rathna smiled
