I follow a regular fortified juice diet to fill all nutritional gaps in my everyday diet.
Tropicana Essentials has recently launched two new fortified juices which are great for anaemic people like me.
Its 100% juice content with NO added sugar or color,
so I offer it to my son and other family members too. Per serve has iron content equivalent to 100 gms of spinach (or 15% of RDA). There are 2 variants namely Iron and Fruit & Veggies which are easily available, ultra-convenient and affordably priced. Both juices offer additional Vitamin A (to aid metabolism) and Vitamin C (for better iron absorption). You also get the goodness of apple, beetroot and carrot (in juice form) in the Fruit and Veggies variant.
Lack of sufficient fruits and vegetables in the Indian daily diet leads to lethargy and fatigue, as well as fluctuating weight and sleep deprivation. The juices are preservative free, fortified and safe for younger kids too. I give it to my 4-year-old as well.

Does anybody else have fortified juices as part of their regular daily diet?
    What are your juice ideas?

But are tetra paks safe in India? Of course fortified juices are great, but how safe is it to have a packaged juice?

I don't really think these are made with real fruits and are safe t be consumed. I suggest you re-think before drinking them.

Op, Tropicana is a Pepsi Co product and founded in US. I checked the American website for Tropicana, I don't even see this product on their webpage! I doubt this is a fake/duplicate. Don't consume it.. To be honest, you can never be sure of juices being 100% from fruit unless you make one at home on your own..When has a homemade orange juice tasted like store made? Never.. so how is it 100% fruit?

Get a nutribullet / blender and make your own.. you can add healthy seeds like flax, chia etc to it too..

Are you sure it's sugar free ? Sometimes there is sugar substitute added which is worse than real sugar . I really would doubt such claims that these products are sugar free, full of nutrients and preservative free. A lot of nutrients is lost in the process of juicing so why go the juice route when you can get more nutrients through fruits and veggies itself .

Indian diet has plenty of veggies and fruits . A regular Indian lunch and dinner has at least one vegetable dish and for breakfast or snacks people do consume fruits . For kids who don't like veggies, juice is ok though I don't recommend it as they should learn to eventually develop a taste for fruits and veggies . Best would be home made over store bought .

I researced and apparently the Tetra Paks have a 7 layer aseptic packaging. So the juices are totally sterile. I avoided Tetra Paks earlier myself, but they are so convenient for tiffins, picnics, travelling ,etc.

Hello...you have a point but in my case, its more cumbersome to make and carry food to work. Atleast the juices are fortified with Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Iron. I carry them everywhere and I think they are very helpful for women on the go.

I do all that (blending/nutribullet) when I have time on my hands, but I am mostly rushed. For those times, these juices are so convenient to carry outdoors and when you are travelling :)

In my case, I am always rushed and my son dislikes all veggies. Since something is better than nothing, these juices fill you up when travelling, on picnics and outdoors. I try very hard to feed my son something nutritious, so atleast the juices are fortified and sterilised with the top packaging.

Op, I don't think you heard us.. all I am reading from your posts is that you are rushed & something is better than nothing.. I don't think you should have anything available on the market just because 'something is better than nothing'. you seem to be a working woman & you should know better than that. My point is if you are convinced of the genuineness of the product, then it may still make sense.. but, that seems to be a unknown too.. Also you mentioned that you have it daily as part of regular diet and also feed your 4 yr old, which concerns..I think it's better not to consume it i.e nothing is better than something, if you ask me!
