I'm really feeling so bad for u. You had to go through too much in your life.
Please start chanting your Ishtha Deva's names as much as possible. And pray for protection and peace of mind.
Also, please try to learn meditation techniques from a suitable Guru. Else every morning start going deeper n deeper by changing OM.

Earlier, I use to see Mahabaratha as a story of fight between good people (Pandavas) vs. bad people (Kauravas).

After being into spirituality, I get different (or in depth) understanding about Mahabaratha.

Krishna says Kurukshetra war is a dharma yuddha, which (according to me) is not something good people vs. bad people.

We all know that Krishna had all the power to kill all the Kauvravas with his divine power. But he did not do that. The fact is that many good people in Pandavas side were killed mercilessly, especially Abhimanyu.

Krishna already knew that Abhimanyu would be killed. In fact, Krishna prevented Abhimanyu from learning the trick of getting out from Chakravuyh.

Why Krishna didn’t help Abhimanyu, who is a good person and a mighty warrior. It is said that Abhimanyu did some wrong and accrued Karma in his past life, so he should have a bad death in the current life time. Preventing the death of Abhimanyu is something adharmic, this is the reason why Lord did not help. In this way, Krishna maintained the dharma. The entire pandavas son were also killed and Krishna did not help.

But the Lord revived Prakshit (Abhimanyu’s son) because he is not suppose to die and should rule the Kingdom.

This example is enough to prove that God will not alter our fate as it would considered as adharmic. Gods cannot go in adharmic path and this is the reason why we suffer in different forms such as disease, death, etc. This is the reason why prayers do not work all the time.

In my opinion taking a genuine spiritual path can alter your fate. If you do not want to follow a spiritual path and want to lead a normal life, then you would face all the sufferings and karma like everyday person.

Above is my humble opinion. I am not an expert. I have said based on my limited understanding and experience.
