If it's a second degree burn you need a very good dermatologist to take a look at it right away. Scars like that don't go away with creams. He may have some suggestions for you.
Is the burn healed completely? What is your current doc recommending? Do get a second opinion from a good dermatologist on the healing and scar if it hasn't healed properly.

OP, You should consult a doctor as it's second degree. Scars won't go away simply by using ointments.

For simple burns I use Amrutmalam.

    Hi,
I think you can not prevent burn scars while heeling.Scar removing creams can not be used on heeling skin,it is used only the skin that is completely heeled. Mederma is one scar removal cream which works to some extent depending on the intensity of the scar.

I have consulted the doctor. He says we should leave it to the body to heal. I am worried as he is not suggesting any ointment.

Skin is one of the slow responding part of our body. It takes time to recover. Make sure the burn is cured fully before going for any scar removal. Honey and egg whites are natural remedies for burn but should be applied only if there is no break in the skin( to prevent infection). The ointment like the one I mentioned /similar may help. It was very useful to me. Hope you feel better soon

Thank you all for your valuable inputs. Visited doctor yesterday. He said I need to go for skin graft if scar shouldn't show up.
I am thinking of leaving it as it is without graft. It might take another week or 10 days for the burn to heal completely.
