Was just revisiting this thread to check the new titles added. You ILites humble me with all your lists!

How many books yet to be read! How many Authors that I have not heard of! There is so much to read and thinking that my entire lifetime may not be enough makes me anxious :(

Yes Rajeni, too many books and very little time. But look at it this way... how enriching your lifetime will be having read some wonderful books, as few or as many as you could. :)

    Hi Rajeni,

I love the list you've put up for us all. In fact, the Kite Runner, Angels and Demons and The Alchemist are three of my personal favourites as well. I would highly encourage you to read The Digital Fortress and The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown if you haven't already. You will become a huge fanatic of his writing just like I am.

Also, I would like to share something with you. I recently published a novel called 'The Shame's On You'. It's a twisted tale that revolves around the inane struggle associated with being a woman in India. I've made an effort to force readers to rethink right versus wrong & reshape practices that have come to be regarded as the soul of our Indian culture. Here's the Facebook link so please feel free to have a look when you get a chance: www.facebook.com/tsoykk

It's a story that I believe people need to read in order to start asking questions that have the potential to uproot the deeply imbedded gender inequality and gender biases in our Indian society. I would really like to encourage you to read the story and tell me what you think about because even though, we don't know each other but I truly believe you are a thoughtful lady who will understand and act upon the message that I'm trying to send through the story and encourage other women to do the same.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

    Regards,
    Khyati
