Neethu, I take a walk around and choose what I want to eat. Then I take a bit of each, so I get to taste all those dishes and by the end, mercifully, I can't take anything more! I generally avoid the desserts - anyway there is no place for that.

for Indian buffets, I usually have a little food at home before i leave, usually the food timings are a later than my meal times, which means I am hungerier than usual and that means I am going to gobble a lot more junk. At the buffet, I am allowed one junk, a lot of our food is not bad healthwise, so do not really restrict myself much.

For more of non-Indian buffets here - means I cant eat 80% of the menu , so I take veg soup and veg salads + desserts and then some deserts. I have a sweet tooth , no make that 30 sweet teeth, so that is plenty of damage done.
Makes me nostalgic of attending weddings in Calcutta - I used to eat onli sweets, and then some more sweets and then finish off with Mishi dohi - those were the days my friend :crybaby2:
