    Hi @Hope2017 ,

here is some detail info on IVF process from what I know. Credits to @hoping4amiracle who helped me to understand it better.

Refer this link for the steps.

    1. Doctor may run some baseline tests(blood tests) like amh/tsh/fsh/lh/prolactin/sugar to evaluate your body condition to know if anything to be taken care of before starting ivf.

    2. IVF starts with pre-IVF cycle in which they give birth control pills (usually 21 days)to suppress the production of eggs(follicles) in one cycle. This is to control the follicle production in next cycle(actual IVF cycle) and avoid cysts. Mock Embryo Transfer(ET) may takes place to find out if there is any difficulty in carrying out actual ET procedure. Nothing else takes place here.

3.Actual IVF cycle - As soon as you get periods, u need to visit CD2 of ur periods to run some blood tests to see if its ok to do.

you will be given stimulation injections from then on for 12 days to produce eggs. Scans will be taken to monitor the egg production and if necessary blood test.

Once eggs matures, trigger shot will be given and before egg rupture they pick up the egg under anaesthesia. Your husband's sperm will be collected on same day. In my hospital, they said if we wish we can freeze the sperm which were collected on day2 of periods as backup.

Egg and sperm are put together to form embryo. This fertilisation can be done naturally by putting sperm around egg or it can be done as ICSI in which sperm is penetrated into egg manually. My hospital always prefer ICSI.

Embryos are monitored and graded according to quality and then they transfer (mostly) 2 of good embryos into ur uterus(actual ET). This is referred as "fresh cycle" as embryos are transferred without freezing.

If you have more healthy embryos left then they will freeze it for future cycle called FET(Frozen Embryo Transfer). if the first cycle fails, they will thaw the frozen ones to do ET.

Usually they do Day3 embryo transfer. special cases may go for blastocyst transfer i.e Day5 embryo

If you don't have any embryos to freeze, then they will start from injections (stimulation phase).

Rough Cost: Depends on hospital and our body response

Right from stimulation injections till fresh embryo transfer it costs around 1.75 L to 2L (depending on the dosage of injections/other process involved)

Freezing embryos costs extra. For FET process I think it costs around 45K as there wont be any injections/egg pick up/fertilisation process involved.

Hope this can be of some help to you.

Every hospital is different. they might have different protocol than what i have mentioned. I have given the generic outlook on procedure. DO check with your hospital for any specifics like process and cost.
