    1)Kadhal desam/prema desam(1996)

This movie was a magic spell
on the youth. How can anyone forget that movie?A mindless movie with no storyline but the heartbeat of all youngsters. The hero Abbas made all girls heart flutter, the songs that make you melt, the beauty of friendship especially with "mustafa" song and the "innocence of love".one of a kind and absolutely beautiful.

    2) Abhiyum naanum/Aakasamantha..

The relationship between a dad and daughter shot in the valleys of ooty..such a feel good movie and brilliantly shown.I remember sleeping well that night with my heart filled with happiness. This is how a movie should make you feel.

    3) Kannamoochi yenada(Tamil)

Sathyaraj/sandhya/Radhika/sripriya movie.Hilarious movie showing the relationship between a son in law and a dad in law.An English movie copy but very cute movie with lovely BGM nevertheless.

    4) Bangalore days(Malayalam)

Should I even say more? Please watch this movie if you haven't coz this one is not to be missed.relationship between cousins and a very very classy movie.kudos to the director Anjali.

    5) No entry (Hindi)

Anil kapoor was beyond brilliant.Movie was super fun.The tamil Version Charlie Chaplin was the original but the Hindi version is a zillion times better.Me being a tamilian can vouch for this :)

    Hey Anika ,

Wonderful selection of movies! I'm a tamilian too and can relate to your selection. My top 5 movies are:

Mozhi - about a deaf and dumb girl and how a musician falls in love with her. Disability is just what is in your mind. - a brilliant movie

Jab we met : how to approach life at it comes and come to an acceptance and live happily.

Happy days: A Telugu movie about college friends and what love means to each person and a beautiful story about friendship - must watch

Kanda naal mudhal: a love story but a really different types. How opposite poles attract . My all tym fav :)

Naladamadayanthi: a naive South Indian cook who goes to Australia to earn and his experiences there.. hilarious but def feel good!

My list goes on ..but yea this 5 are at the top!

Only 5? How? I will try but it is really really hard. Just Well Maniratnam dominates but I guess that the age I saw , the story line, the actors made a difference.

    1. Qayamat se qayamat tak. (Hindi)
    2. Gitanjali (Telugu)

What can I say the freshness, the songs, Aamir Khan, ...
Both the movies that came when I was in my teens , loved it to bits, saw a zillion times.

    3. Lion King
This move carries life lessons for me. The circle of life . Watching the movie with each of my kids was special.

    4. Kannathil Muthamittal (Tamil)

    5. Drishyam(Malyalam)
