:) Those were the days... before going out, I sometimes needed help with the bottom of pleats of cotton saree : ) And got the help. : )

I use only two pins. A big one for the pleats and a small one on the left shoulder. When my co-sister sees me in a saree, she will unceremoniously pull me into a room, and redo it. I just stand there like a cooperative mannequin and she does the magic. I don't know how... putting on a saree on someone else is harder than on oneself : )

A neighbor helps my DD : ) I keep telling the neighbor not to dare move till DD gets married. LOL. : )

Don't worry about your neighbor moving. "Main Hoon Na" :kissingheart:

This is how I drape the saree. The blue marks are the extra pins.

JAM, co-incidently, this is the exact video that I used to watch a couple of months back when I was required to wear saree to the office for the meetings. This is quite helpful, and simple.
Earlier I only wore saree for the festivals and functions with loads of help from others.

YM, I usually iron the saree's pleats both the pallu and the middle one by neatly pinning them before I wear the saree. So, it is very easy to keep the cotton saree in place without any major mess. While wearing the saree, I remove the extra pins, yet the ironed pleats would stay neatly.

I now prefer to wear chiffon sarees for summers.
