Suggestion for a tilting or non tilting wet grinder

Hello All
im looking to buy a wet grinder for our family. We are a family of 3 and my inlaws visit us once in 2 or 3 months. I have never bought or used a grinder in life. Have always used a mixer for making dosa or idli batter but now as the frequency of making dosa increased we need to get one. I checked few of the older post for suggestions but they all were like 2 years old. So I'm looking for somesuggestions which will include both the tilting and non tilting versions whih will last longer and get a nice dough in lesser time and which is efficient. My mil wants to buy it herself but I need to get updated with the latest models and popular ones from the people who are using it often. My mil is using the traditional one
Please suggest the brands and the kind of grinder tilting or non tilting to buy and the no of stones preferable.

I have been using wet grinders for the last 20 years or so. The first one was a traditional one with single stone- shantha wet grinder- where the dough got ground perfect, but the stone was heavy to carry out to wash. Next i got a similar one but with 2 cylindrical stones - here again grinding was perfect but the base used to get stuck in the centre - making it difficult to pull it out each time for wash. However i had used this for around 10 years. Now, after a lot of research/enquiries i zeroed in on an ultra wet grinder(Gold) model with two triangular stones . The grinding is fast - takes around 25 - 30 mins for 1 kg of rice/dal combination. It is easy to lift out and wash. I am happy with my choice. I was suggested the tilting type by some friends, but found it to be a little flimsy for long time use. There is the next superior model in Ultra itself which is also really good. You can have a look. Best wishes

I second joylokhi with regard to tilting grinders. I too feel it is not suitable for frequent usage. I was using 3 stone butterfly grinder but found it too heavy. Later switched over to butterfly 2 stone. I find this quite good.

What capacity grinder will be suitable? I have a small kitchen and there is really no space on the floor to put it. Either I have to store it in shelf and takeout whenever needed or have to use the countertop. Does the ultra model takeup lots of space ?

I have Ultra non-tilting model with 2 triangular stones.I too wanted to go for a tilting type,but anyway we have to clean the triangular stone then Iam pouring the batter into the vessel,hence this is good as well. I store it in the cabinet once Iam done grinding,I do have spacious countertop,but I don't like it sitting on the top all the day,week long when I use it once a week.

Iam happy with ultra grinder
