    Regarding checking the dilation, mine was first checked at 39 weeks (even though I told the nurse I wasnt feeling any contractions or braxton-hicks). I was not dilated or effaced. Then in the next week, I started feeling tightening of stomach and I assume false contractions, my dilation was checked at 40 weeks. I was told I was effaced more than 50% and no dilation. I have my next appt. next week (41 week) and will be undergoing a stress test and ultrasound test. Hopefully the baby will arrive before next week.

    I took the TDAP vaccine for whooping cough at 30 weeks, you are supposed to take it at least 2 weeks before the full term, to allow the vaccine to be absorbed by the body. I had taken it 2 years ago, but was told I need to take it again to give my baby immunity too. My husband had already taken it, so he didnt take it. But my mother who is visiting from India, took it before coming here and she also took the flu shot too, since its winter herein the US.

    Dear all, I am blessed with a baby boy on nov 13th (India time nov 12)
    It was a normal delivery. I was 36weeks and 3 days when I delivered. Baby's birth weight was 2750gms. Both of us are doing good. Thanks to all for your support, prayers and well wishes.

    Mani congrats and a very happy motherhood. Enjoy every moment to the fullest
