Why did you hesitate to register in IL?

I was ok as a guest since i didnt have much to contribute or so i thought...

My sis is addicted to this site and she forced me to register as she believes that everyone has something to contribute..

 

I had been visiting Indusladies as a guest from the last 4/5 months,at first i thought that i got the information i was looking for and thus would not need to re-visit but since then i found myself visiting this site again n again whenever i got time.so finally i end up registering.

 

I had a feeling that I would not be welcome, till I checked up the FAQ to confirm that it was not so... errr under one condition, about which I have no qualm or query whatsoever.

Hi,

First i got to know about the site thru google and browsed through and became member. But was not active as soon as i became member. Because we (me and my husband of course ) were on the verge of relocation from Dublin, OH to Atlanta,GA. So i thought i shall introduce myself once we settled :hide:. Now almost settled in new home and have started taking the first steps in IL.

Hi members,

I was a silent reader for about 6 months. My sister got me hooked on to this website. I had a hard time connecting to the members. I don't mean to be pouring out negative feedback about this site and the members. I find that there are culture difference and age difference. It seems as if most of the members are Indians from India or the states. I'm Sri Lankan Tamil. I was also scared to join because I have seen negative comments to the OP. But I think the connection has developed. So, it's all good.

 

Dear members, I came across IL via Google 8/9 years ago when I was a teenager, and visited as a guest once or twice. Then I went to University, studies became focus. Now I'm married and re-discovered IL via Google again last year, when I was looking for family advice. Really ladies, I was at a low time in a stressed life, and came here and reading your words gave me sense and strength. I registered shortly after that. My habit is not to visit Facebook things etc. Recently I have changed jobs, and have more me-time (finally!). Now finding IL is becoming a good habit
