I need some desperate help here. Some might find it funny. But my lips are actually bleeding every now and then. And i cant eat anything spicy.
It so happened that till few days back i was applying a long-lasting lipstick regularly(bodyshop). And by the end of the day my lips would turn dry.I had to apply it for a week as my CTs are for a week.(corporate trainings)
I have tried the popular home remedies.Like applying vaseline at night. It has not worked.I have never faced such a problem before this.
I have successfully used bodyshop products before this too.Never had issues with that brand. But why is it happening now?
I dont want to go to the doc yet.I hate popping pills.
And it has become V.embarrassing, almost everyone has started asking about it.And worst is i cant eat food properly.
Ladies....give the remedies that worked for you

    dinny darling my solutions ,

Stop the product that you are using.... cracking is because the skin in lips is dry....

Apply coconut oil everyday night and sleep with a glossy lips:)rotfl:rotfl)
and do it regularly .... Vaseline will not be a solution because its a petroleum based product and it will worsen more....

This will help and has helped me when I had this situation...

    Really coconut oil works???
Because here the climate is already turning cold would it have adverse effects??
I am not applying that lipstick now.But i am still wondering the reason why??
I have used that brand earlier too.

butter, home made butter is the best..in the absence butter and if butter is not the right one, then ghee, keep applying ghee.

You can also try honey..honey is a antiseptic and healer. aloevera gel helps..

But do check if you have vitamin d deficiency which is common in ME. sometimes cracked lips are a indicator, itseems..

yup baby it works and wonders ....

May be the product would have become allergic to you and climate changes and body changes all includes....to change in irritation levels of the skin.... since you say that climate is becoming cold and so naturally skin will be dry as the water level in the air is getting frozen and so skin becomes dry and also drink water and keep wetting the lips

I have some home made ghee.I'll try that.
Honey i am ruling out because i end up licking it within minutes after applying.

Vit-D deficiency??? Ohh but i am do take milk and calcium rich food.I hope its not that.
Now its turned a little scary.
Could that be the reason it is not healing???

    Dear Dinny Sister,

Using Ghee will quickly make you feel comfortable.

Since you need to use lipstick continuously It is time you change your brand.

    Thanks, Best Wishes...

Suggest me some good long lasting lipsticks.
I often end up eating my lipsticks.Thats one reason i dont buy flavoured ones.
Could you suggest me some good brands.

I would go with Ghee too Dinny. I do not know the reason for why it is happening to you but my kids face it in winter and chap sticks work and really do wonders, especially if you can get from Burt Bees kind of products.
