Totally agree with u Saps, did the same with my DS, just a month in nursery back home and he got admission here in a good school.
Just to give hope for all you anxious parents , 4 new indian schools are opening next semester 2014,all based in Baniyas, so hopefully the mad rush for KG1 seats should be reduced.:thumbsup

 

awesome! I too wud b visiting on sat to get DS's admission done. v r starting school from sunday. r u too starting from 2nd? Just want him to get busy. The lady at vision said since its mid semester admission they'll put him in playgroup for this month n from Sept onwards he can join their nursery class. I have been homeschooling my son but now its high time he meets other kids his age n plays with them. I'll personally never force either of my babies for studies for my parents never forced me.

Dats gr8 news:thumbsup. Our kids wil be in the same batch. my DD wil start only in sept since we are leaving for india on 10 june. Its gud ur sending ur DS now itself, u will some time for urself too n he will hv fun too.

I'm just a bit too nervous abt the whole Kapeesh going to school n being on his own for 5 odd hrs.. getting goosebumps already...

Ditto..i am worried too...5 hrs seems bit too much n hw are they going to manage n mainly hw am I going to manage myself. Why do they grow up so fast yaar??maybe I am in for some crying too. Ur son started play group today. Do let me know how he managed.

We went to nursery yesterday and liked it too, DD luved it too. Registered her there for sept batch.

 

He didn't go on 2nd had cold. Send him on 3rd and he cried a little. today as well he cried in school. But the good thing is that he is willing to go. Its sad we put our kids in an unknown, unfamiliar situations but we have no other option. Wish they could allow parents to be around until child gets comfy. Otherwise allz fine there. I keep calling and bugging that Julie lady almost every hour to know how DS is doing.

 

poor dear. For kids its more like being pushed into d sea.did he stay for 5 hrs 1st day or you brought him back early? sorry to bore you but in a few months I too will be in a similar position as you are. dats y so many questions.

 

Hey Sapna, Sorry for the delayed reply. We all were sick the last week. He stayed in for all 5 hrs. it all got too stressful for him it seems. He didnt go to school the whole last week cz of fever, cough n cold. n today he began crying as soon as we got off the car puked early in the morning... i feel sad n sorry but school too is important for him. hey, i was wondering, once u r back from india n possibly in july end or before sept batch starts we can have play dates for our kiddos to know each othr better n be a little more comfy when at school. what do u say? do u kno any othr kid who goes to vision?

Sorry for not replying. came from vacation just 2 days back. how are you doing? and how is your son managing in school? got call from vision to collect uniform n all. classes starting on 8th. My DD is excited about school. hoping it remains like that.

Hey Saps, Its alright dear, I had guessed that . How was ur vacation?
He was all cranky for the first month but loved the summer camp at school. Did u collect the uniform? What color is it? Kapeesh got the green color. I do not know the difference though, yet to ask school. Ooh and we r leaving for our vacation soon and will be back in october only, so see you then.
