    Too good Prana. Too good I was also thinking of teaching style crafts to dd in her holidays which starts from next Wednesday. Already we did a fancy scarf. Thinking of teaching her to put simple kolam this summer. Will post the pic soon. Great ideas to start a thread for this. They will get encouraged and we moms also will have new ideas.

    I liked the pen holder. It is very cute and had utility too. Then for the letter charts, I also used to do same when my kids were learning letters and numbers. Pictures charts earlier when they were two.

    Is your little peons allowing his big sister to do all these! ?? Take care he doesn't put some small items in his mouth.

    Regards
    Manjukps

    hey prana,

    nice way to spend the summer hols during power cuts :)
    liked that penholder of yours. very creative. shall ask my dd also to just take a look and try.

    now she is going for summer camp and she has one hour for art and craft....she brings back craftwork which looks very unique. for obvious reasons, i wont be putting up those works, but one of the ideas was using the bubble ring (im not sure of the exact word, but the ones which kids use to blow air bubbles from bottles ! ) to blow bubbles on to chart paper to create designs. i think they called it as "bubble painting". only thing is, house can get messier with those air bubbles !!! :-D

    just to give an idea, got a random link from web;
    3 Ways to paint with Bubbles : Artful Adventures

    and I liked manjukps' idea of teaching simple kolams. even my DD likes kolams but haven't taught her specifically....

    nice thread !! :-D

    Nice thread prana:thumbsup. Some how i missed this:bonk. That icecream stick idea is a good one, may be i will teach them that. For my kids, the vacation has not started. They have just started learning alphabets. I would love to teach them tamil, but will this be the right time? They have just started with english alphabets - A,B,C. and next year in school they will start with hindi (we stay in mumbai). In between if i start tamil won't they get confused?. I am confused now. :confused2:

    Animal stickers is a good idea, my fridge front door is full of stickers, now we will make nice charts.

    Liked the idea of flower with her fingers outline, you can make spiders also with the same pattern

    keep going prana:clap
