    Dear Mommies,

As you all know, summer is in full swing in india especially in TN. Apparently, kids have summer holidays now. So whats your summer plan for your kids??Letting them watching TV the wholeday or playing under a scorching SUN is not a good thing and ofcourse it is not at all possible. Thanks to our TN Govt for the hours of power shutdown Harhar.

So why cant we do some craft works along with them or help them in making crafts and keep them occupy with some useful stuffs?poor moms :bonk.

What are all the advantages in these craftying??Here it goes..

    1.Developing motor skills
2.They learn lot of new things
    3.Its a good mood lifter
    4.Develop their creativity
5.We can spend some quality time along with them
6.Above all, they can sit at one place and do the mess in only one place for atleast sometime Chillout!

Lets try to do some crafts with our kids and post our works here. So that it would be motivated others and we could get variety of ideas.Above all, our kids will be encouraging when we post their works here.

Its not necessary that only indian mommies need to participate here, as I mention about summer holidays. Talking about summer is a reason for starting a good deed :hide:...All the mommies are welcome here Bow..

Its not neccesary to post the procedure for your works..What we need is simply 'the work'. Thats it guys!!!

    Shall we start friends??

Here goes my first entry..scroll scroll :)

By this Apr20, my DD is going to be 4 yrs old. And she loves coloring, painting especially sticking. So I try to do crafts which accompanies all I said :)

    Pen/Pencil Holder

1.Stick the icesticks on the chart paper
    2.Decorate the stcks as per your need.Painting,drawing,stcking some beads etc.She wrote/drew alphabets,shapes,numbers.
    3.Stick the two ends
4.Make the basement with some chart or cardboard.

your holder is now ready.DD is so happy to see the output. Now she puts all her pencils in the holder :thumbsup

I wanted to have hand written charts as it would be more readable if it is in her moms handwriting. No pictures only letters. I sticked it in our dining hall so she used to look at the chart whenever she crosses that place and starts telling them....:thumbsup

    1.Small cursive alphabets
    2.Tamil letters(mei ezhuththukkal)

Dh bought some sticker for her. Immediately she wanted to stick all of them somewhere. If I leave her on her own, entire floor and walls would be decorated with the stcikers Witsend..So ended up with this chart

I asked the animal names and she told.I taught her both n english and tamil and recited the spellings, she wrote them on her own.:thumbsup

Nice attempt to keep your kids busy Prana. I too taught first set of tamil letters in last vacation to my this year it will Uyir mei ezhuthukkal....And also we could teach them some small origami which can be made easy. Many tutorials available in net. My son did lots of origami last year and gifted all his friends and relatives whoever he met.
