    chitra,ssm and others,

I have not got any major cravings yet. I keep thinking I should make idly, dosa soon. But not getting enough time. I am just making do with whatever I have on hand at home. Do you think it is a problem that I am not having any cravings now?

    Hi,

    My today's menu

    BF : Idly, tomato chutney
    11am - 1 glass of milk
Lunch - rice, manathakkali keerai charu, manathakkali keerai koottu, peas kootu, rasam
5pm - boiled moon dal sprouts..
dinner - badly wanted to eat..curd rice like u get in hotels know.. (seasoned and garnished with fruits and carrots..) made that.. but it was not soo sore i expected.. /Carrot poriyal..

    Helpmeangel,

Its nothing wrong that you have not started craving dear.. soon you will get.. we have some luxury in india.. can buy easily..

Why dont you grind flour for idly/dosa and keep it in fridge during week end..( do you have blender/grinder ).. take your DH Help..(just you can soak the rice and urud dal and keep it../ he can remove the stone..) Even you can make some chutney variety and keep it as thick form in the fridge, morning you just need to defroze some small amount and add water.. boil it..(5 min??).. if you have idly plates.. then put the flour for wait for ( 10 min?) - May be by that time you can finish your bath!!..

If you think.. you can always make your time !!

For me this idly flour is lifesaver in the morning.. don't need to think too much what i am going to prepare breakfast..

    Hi Chitra,

Yes, I do have a grinder here, which I brought from India. I used to grind batter at least once or twice a month before. Now, I am not doing it for fear of lifting the heavy stone and cleaning it. I think I will soak rice/urad dal for grinding tomorrow. Here fermentation takes a long time and batter never turns sour as it is supposed to be. But I will manage with what I have. Thanks Chitra dear!
