Who Am I

Dear friends Let me introduce myself as a new member .I am a doctor... physician and cardiologist by proffession and a writer and musician by aptitude.I am practising in Hyderabad India.I write novels in Telugu and while searching for Ambika Ananth your member who reviewed my book Bye Bye Polonia in the Hindu I found this site.It is wonderful to find a site so rich and varied in culture and contributions.
I wish to write often and participate in the discussions .I thank the moderator who allowed me to keep my registration even though I am a male and I look forward to writing on my views and articles about problems of women in perspective.
My novels are in Telugu.

Hello

I am Imran and am excited to introduce myself to all the members of this community. Also an excitement to put your personality in few words is really demanding and one need to do full justification to the words put forward.

I am professionally an Engineer working with multinational company based in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1lace>Middle East</st1lace>. My origin is <st1:City><st1lace>Hyderabad</st1lace></st1:City> from <st1:country-region><st1lace>India</st1lace></st1:country-region>.

I enjoy reading lots of books, fictions, non-fictions. Traveling, exchanging the views and feelings, watching movies on and on.

Those who ever wanted to contact reply is assured with whole heartedly, I don’t have any reservation well com to all age group peoples you can address me .

I learned about your site when I read an article about the status of ladies on H4 visas, in The San Francisco Chronicle.
My name is Nirmala and I am probably old enough to be most of your mothers. I am 59 years old and have 3 grown sons. The eldest is getting married in June.

I am a South African Indian. Indians have been in South Africa since the 1860's. The Indian culture is very much alive except for some communities where the vernacular is lost to the younger generations. I am Hindi speaking and understand Hindi but cannot speak it fluently. We have been living in the US for that past 12 years. I miss my family in SA a lot.

I wish I had seen this site a few weeks ago as I have read 2 posts that mention people from Chennai. Just about 2 weeks ago my husband and I made our first trip to India and stayed in Chennai. I really enjoyed my experience there.


I wanted to say that I too was on H4. But my immigration lawyer said that if a company offered me a job and was willing to support the H1b application he could process this. So this is exactly what happened. I converted my H4 status to H1b. This was in 1998. Not sure if the laws have change since that time. Have the ladies checked into this possibility? My profession is social work. Presently I am at home working on my website and planning to start an online business.

I am Chitra , I have joined today as new member.
I work as project Leader ,in IT sector, in Chennai.

I have a female baby, 2 years old .
I am really happy & surprised to see such a nice site, where we are linked to so many people in many corners of the world.
I love to spend much of time with my kid & I'm intersted in
trying out new receipies..

Welcome to Indusladies! Very glad to hear that you are a teacher in Kuwait with two lovely kids. With a Montessori degree, you must be so equipped to train their 'absorbent minds'. Welcome to IL! DOing MBBS in China, and just 19 years old! That is many such firsts in IL. Hey, I know just one word in Chinese, not even sure if it is right, 'nee homa?'

Welcome to IL! Very glad to have a truly international member, Indian by origin, South African by nationality, now resident in the US. I am sure you embody many different good values and cultures. Nice to hear that you will be blessed with a daughter in law soon. Your age probably makes you a mother for many here, as you said. However, in IL age is chronologically frozen around 25, so we are all friends here. And the next time you go to Chennai, please contact out Local champions there. The Chennai ILItes are one fun group, they meet often. I will read your article and post a feed back there.
