almost all schools have age restriction at 3 years for kg1
they are reluctant in enrolling 4 years in kg1
i have experience in my DS admission

so its better to put your DS to kg1 in this coming academic year

    hi, vipsy

subscribe to the threads for which u would like to receive a email notification (mystuff).

till 2 yrs back age was never a criteria for admission in schools.but it caused a lot of mess and bulling in higher classesdue to which educational council propsed a new law which stated any child above 3yrs 3months by april but not more than4 yrs can be enrolled for kg1 andin optional case if the child poses high IQ can be enrolled by 3 for kg1.and hope majority of the schools started working with this rule lastyr.
as u said Liitle buds school asked u to enroll in playgroup and then they will shift him to nursery.

Be very clear, schools deal with 1000's of kids, where are they going to remember our. so it will be ur responsibility to run now and then for change in class .secondly the kid will start his term in midway so the main basic foundation wont be available and he will be treated same as others without guiding him frm the first session.that it self becomes a great headache for parents and child.as this is a pecuilar agegroup for kids in buiding rappo and friendliness towards other kids see to it the child dosent gets mentally disturbed with the shuffling with in 2 to 3 months .

little buds and Nohas ark are run by the same mangement.got an average review about both
A level schools do offer seats for kg1 at 3 by sept
    hope i didnt confuse u

nursery is not a requirement for kg1 and my dd was more than prepared to start kg1 with 3 months of nursery as they start with basics and she already had most of that (letter recognition, colors, shapes, etc) so it was easy for her to make the transition. the only thing she was not thrilled with was the hw they started giving in kg1 :)

    hey gals,

my DD is 29 months old now.(born on 01.06.2010). i am in a dilemma whether to put her in a nursery or playgroup. She will turn 3 on june 1st next year, i understand she is short of 2 months time to join in KG1 next year( i hope i'm right). She will be wasting 1 whole year due to this shortage of 2 months. IS there any age relaxation in any of the nurseries u ppl know. Pls advise. i will be gng to Sarah next week to cnf on the availability of seats, age limit and the dates of admission. So pls advise.

    Regards,
    Sharmila.

I have kept both my sons(m&m) at little buds nursery and find it to be an excellent nursery. from the first week of his entry itself i found himself rhyming few songs at home. he is only 3yr now nad the little sonney is 1.4 now and both are doing great at little buds. the teaching and the faculty improves with more care and a parental atmosphere is wat i see in little buds. very lovable care is that they give to kids. its really worth enough that your kid is at little buds. from mom of two sons.
