dear shanvy, i started my own thread in karnataka forum for knowing real estate in mangalore but no response yet. also there is no chance of response in future too as i have noticed this before. there are not many mangaloreans active there in this forum giving inputs about real estate. i checked whole of IL where in i can get some inputs from people living in mangalore, but there is no such post in IL here. if you know any other good forum on real estate which you can recommend to me, please do that. i will register there to know about real estate in mangalore. i want to know how is life and real estate position there in mangalore...i want to hear it from the people who are presently living there rather than checking rates in property sites. pls help. i also searched in google for this. but just thought of asking you to get some best-active forum on real estate which may known to you. pls help, thanks in advance.
Dear Shanti, Thanks for all your wonderful inputs. Do you have any idea about the flats built by Pace Builders at Valasarawakam & Anna Nagar West. Though is it in near completion stage many flats are still to be booked. Let me know if you have any views. regards Bhanu
Thanks Shanthi. i am still in US. We had been to chennai for vacation and we are looking for buying a property. My SIL is about to buy one flat in pammal, shankar nagar. So just wanted reviews about that area, how about schooling, neighbourhood, developing or what and all relevant reviews. What is the cons of tanneries nearby?
baby to be honest, i go reading the papers, and with what i hear from people around me.. i am not into any forums..but you could check out google.for mangolore based forums..i am sure there would be groups in fb, yahoo and google too.. 4 years back somebody told me about a leading builder moving into mangalore, but also of not completing as per schedule hiccups..(who does these days).. all the best.. btw there are people from mangalore in il, right now cannot recollect any names. http://articles.timesofindia.indiat...9_1_nri-investors-bahrain-dinar-kuwaiti-dinar http://www.realestatemangalore.com/ - check out the reviews on the builder after you feel you like a project, that is one step ahead..
bhanu, pace builders were always concentrating on anna nagar..their presence is felt their in many areas. any builder over a period lags on his quality, maybe he becomes slack at wanting to keep the name..i have personally not recommended some builder whom i used because the quality has detiorated over a period of time when a ilite called me and it is only starting,,you will find a lot of flats to be booked in many projects..we are heading towards a surplus..but still tread with caution, check the reasons if it is just the price it is fine. if it has something to do with eb connections, cmda approva, cc because of deviation stay out of it. a flat being un sold for 6 months is ok, but more than that you need to double-check.. and i believe it is taking longer for achuta to be completed right..?? please take your own call and do your ground work.
brooksdale/jans?? a few acquaintances have bought in shankar nagar from local builders and are happy..though water is not so great, they believe that the regulations laid on the tanneries has made life/water better.. take a call based on your own diligence check.
Hi , I had visited this Acyuta and it is actually Maduravoil. Just beyond where Valasaravakkam ends. About this particular project, I didnt like the exterior finishing of building and the common area flooring. They are broken at some places and mended in some! The interiors of the flats are very average. The corners of walls have some chips falling off. But the mktg guys told me that all this will be fixed soon before handover but strangely they didnt know what the room sizes were and when they will be finished. As far as surronding is concered this is just beyond the area where the decent looking places of Valasaravakkam ends. Surrounding this project is some not so good looking neighborhood. You can go for Krishna nagar and places like Anbu nagar etc in proper Valasaravakkam , (altho they are some 300-400 Rs more than Acyuta). There are some who hint that valasaravakkam might be the next gud area in Arcot road as it has pretty decent internal roads and mostly independent houses and bunglaws. Also the area has a decent green cover! May be Shanvy can throw some light!
Agree with Shanvy. Mangalore market is not big, so not many investors on forums. You will have to rely on brokers, friends and residents living there. Paper, internet classifieds like 99acres, magicbricks, sulekha will also help.
dear shanvy and k11, thanks for the reply. i want to take the views of the residents living there...so i was more interested on forums where i can ask and take the opinions of people staying there. but no such forums here. anyway, thank you for the info.
