Re: Need help regarding australian visa

    Hi

I would agree with latha, in saying that getting a PR is the best way to come here. Most of teh employers do not wwant to process work visa, unless, your husband's line of work is extremely rare and they do not get professionals like him within Australia. However, you can PM me about your hub's professional details and I shall check with my hub, who has been in the IT industry here for more than 4 years. We actually applied for our Austrlian PR while we were in Singapore and then it was easy to find a job here.
The work and life sttyle here is quite cool and realxed and here the locals giv e alot of importance to family and personal ambitions and enjoyment, then anything else.

Let me know if you need any other specific info.

    Cheers

    Re: little help

    Hi Simrah
Have you checked any of the job websites, in that you have acategory called work from home. But generally these are all computer based jobs and I am not sure, how reliable these are. You migght want to check with your local real estate agents, or news agents, as these people usually have sorting jobs that can be done at home.

If you are interested in looking after kids, you can become a family based child carer , whereby you can register yourself with the local council and look after 2-3 kids at your home. Of course you have to advertise and get 2-3 people to let ther child in yoru place. That way, it will also be a good company for your daughter (i am not sure how old she is)
Check with your local council office and they will be able to help you with the details.
I beleive they usually do an inspection, to see if your house meets safety standards etc.

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

Re: Need help regarding australian visa

    Hiya KSmanand,

For directions regarding Sponsership, pls visit the immigration home page on: Department of Immigration and Citizenship it will list all types of visas.

I personally would not adv you to try for sponsorship as it is a gamble. If you get a good company fine. If not, you could end up with n number of problems.

For job opportunities, please visit SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site

As for expenses, it depends on your lifestyle & where you want to settle. Sydney is expensive, Melbourne suburbs are affordable. But check the real estate website on www.domain.com.au for updated info.

    Any other queries, just ask....

Our forum can help you with suggestions. Sky98 already has volunteered to help with more info reg your hubby's qualifications.Good on you girlBow!

Re: Need help regarding australian visa

    Hi Brindhaa,

A PR helps you live in OZ without any tension. PR helps you get citizenship easily after completion of 4 (four) years(on completion of the necessary conditions). Job opportunities are more for people who hold PR as they can work for unlimited hours unlike student visas where you can work for only 20hrs p/w.

Brindha, jobs in banks are easy to come by. For jobs in financial sector, please visit:
