Hi, Anyone using a Baby food mill/grinder for making baby food? Which all foods can we make using it? Which brand are you using? I want to give my baby home made food instead of packed baby foods.
You can mash any type of fruits or Veg in this food mill. I dint buy this, Instead i just use Magic Bullet. It works well for me.
I used Philips Avent Combined Steamer and blender. I would say i used around 5 times a day starting from 5 months till he was around a year. It helped a lot steam and blend in one jar and give .. easy to use..
@ranchu my question may be stupid. But I would like to know if I am doing something wrong. What do you use the blender for? My Dd is 7 months old and I feed her the fruits/steamed veggies directly by mashing it with my hand. I also use gerber products when traveling. @smilealways sorry for hijacking your thread.
Ramya, I dont know if you remember , my LO is a puree guy. He does not want anything mashed I used to puree fruits when he was 6 - 8 months, after that I try mashing and he wont accept .. he throws EVERY TIME i try. not even once has he kept his mashed food inside. I eventually give up and puree it . He's now 10 months, for the past 2 weeks I've tried to cut down the texture of pureeing by pulsing in blender and trying slightly over-mashed-less-pureed paruppu sadham with vegs.. He gets so frustrated but was able to finish his lunch without throw up.. I should never have introduced those Gerber purees.. i should have stuck to home-made mashed stuff.. Are you working ? How do you find time to make lunch / dinner for your LO ? I couldnt find time and that made me use Gerber instead..
@ranchu I remember. In fact while typing my question I was thinking about the other thread. I am not working. So I guess I have the time. For lunch I give Dd dhal and ghee rice along with 1 bit of vegetable. I always boil more vegetables which I use in the evening for snack. In the night I either give rice or idli. If it is rice, I keep it along with lunch itself. Just don't give up even if he gets frustrated. He will eventually get used to it. I think this is good progress compared to eating only puréed stuff.
