    Hi,

I am 25. Married before 1.5 yrs and trying to conceive for the past 1 yr. I have irregular periods and was identified with PCOS. i was on Dronis20 for 3 months for the pcos. And i am 5th cycle of clome. My doc took HSG and the tubes are open. Has anyone conceived on 5th cycle of clome?

Lots of baby dust to all,

    Hi,

Do not worry. Keep following what the doctors say. Conception happens like a magic. It works for some people in the first cycle. For some people, same treatment with a different doc may work. You r young enough and not been very long married. So be patient. Solve the PCOS problem. That should not be a hinderence for you to be pregnant. Keep Praying and be mentally free from all these thoughts.
Hope to hear the good news from you soon.

First take out from your mind that you have PCOS; lead a healthy life and balanced food. Means workout, eat rich proteins an vitamins in your 3 course meal and a very good sleep of 6-8 hrs.
Keep in mind health is in your hand and you can take it how you want it.
If you are doing all these ; you will conceive one day for sure.

What is the potency you've been given so far? 50mg or 100 mg or 150mg??
Cos sometimes you might not have any effects on a low potency. I had the same problem and this month after increasing the dosage to 100mg, I'm showing results. I never ovulated otherwise.

Are you on follicular study while you are on clomid? Or have you been suggested any blood tests to check if you are ovulating? If you are, and your husband has also been tested and declared normal, there might not be any big reason for you not to conceive.

I was told it takes at least 6 cycles on clomid to assure success. So keep your mind cool and keep trying.

    Hi Tanoshil,

I am currently in 6th cycle of clome 150mg. My gynac is doing follicular study from day 11 and i have been ovulating for the past 5 cycles. My DH has little low sperm count(25 million), but my gynac said not to worry about it. Tomorrow i have to go for a scan to check the follicle size.

    Thanks for your response.

    Akanshaa dear,
Have you spoken to your doctor about the next course of action? Usually if your husband's counts are low or motility is low, if it hasn't worked with clomid they go to IUI next. Just keep that in mind and keep trying. And all the best with your next tracking. Wish you the best and hope it works out.

    sOwMyA,

Did you start right away with 200mg of Clomid?
Actually I would like to know from others too. Is it how it is in India? Here in UK we are usually started on a low dosage and its gradually increased, taking care to avoid inflaming the ovaries. But if someone to clear it up for me that would be great. I have been on low doses for the first three cycles and thus the doubt.

As for the next step, talk to the doctor itself Sowmya. I was told it would be HSG and Ovarian drilling. After which if necessary it would be assisted. IUI I presume.
