My son also used to catch cold very frequently. My doctor also insisted that it is normal for kids in this age to catch cold frequently.
Around the age of 18 months he started a tablet for him to stop allergic colds as he felt that at most times his cold was only due to allergy. I was giving that tablet continuously for almost 2 years.
His resistance improved and he was less prone to cold.
I am only saying less prone. Instead of falling sick every month he used get cold every 3-4 months thats all.
So I think its ok. If need be you can check with your doctor on some medicine course

My DS who is 2.5 yrs old is allergic to dust and certain types of weed/grass/pollen...He also has asthma...
So after his two hospital visits (for asthma attacks) last year, we took him to the allergist/pulomonologist. He did an allergy test and concluded that he has the above allergies. Now he is on a daily dose of allergy medication to control his sniffles/cold. I have been using the medicine for the past 6 months. He used to get colds almost every 15 days but now slowly it improved to every 40 days...He is also on another medication to control his asthma..Though the frequency of colds have shown some improvement with the medicine, he still has a long way to go...

You might want to check with a good specialist and see if any allergy tests can be done.

    Hi sow raj
My kids too used to fall sick often .. Doc prescribed septallin by himalaya. That's good it helps build resistance levels. I wnt say they don't fall sick at all but the frequency has reduced.
Find out if u can give the same too.
    All the best

Even my daughter faced the same problem and her ped suggested Septilin for building resistance levels.

We also took care to avoid things which trigger her cold like cover her ears and head with monkey cap when taking her outside.

My DD is 18 months now but she was catching everything possible when she started daycare at 13months(not just cold but more deadly infections) . There was no cure in Allopathy as most of it was caused by virus. I could not see her suffer so I decided to see a homeopathic doctor who could precribe something to build her immunity. After 4 months of treatment I see tremendous improvenent in her health, she hardly catches anything and even if she does it doesnt last long as her body is able to fight the infection.

I would say give homeopathy a try.
